Great review, confirmed exactly what I wanted to know, will be pulling the trigger on this one.
Thanks!
I those clipper it cuts great it has a very smooth cut
Sir.. yesterday I bought whal elite pro.then I try it now but suddenly I'm very disappointed for this machine.because it cannot cut hair the blade is not good.. please tell me what I'm doing..thanks..watching Saudi Arabia
sorry to ask, because i dont know the parts like small comb with number and sizes are those metal?
Hi, yes the they’re all plastic. Thanks
Did your clipper vibrate on your hand?
Yes, of course😄
Thank you sir for the great review. Very helpful. Say thanks and hello to your kids - great models, helping out with the review. Best wishes
Is zero gap possible?
Thanks for the review good sir !
What is voltage range 220 v or 110 v?
I don't see why you have to grab his head like a ball. I find it very annoying and stupid.
Clarification... Wahl says (fine print) it's their most powerful motor ever in their consumer clippers. The Wahl designer and others that use the V5000 motor are stronger and obviously the Seniors and more affordable Icons have the strongest V9000 motor.
Excellent review, thank you so much. I've been shopping around and landed on this one. Your review made up my mind.
Just great review!
I am ordering the same clipper, but from the UK and that should be fine as I live in Australia as both countries use 240V 50Hz power supply voltage. However, if I travel to US/Canada, which is not too often, it will not work with just a power adapter due to the 110V 60Hz voltage there. I do have a transformer I left with in with my relatives in Canada, but that doesn’t change the frequency though. However with these motors, it is more important to bring down the voltage, the 60 Hz will only make it go faster by 20%.
"my kids - they dont sit still for nothing" - mine dont either :-)
See, this is how you review a clipper! Excellent.
Great review my brother, I’m Canadian as well and have been looking to upgrade my cutter to this one. I have a cheaper WAHL I’ve been using for over 6 years now that has suffered lots of abuse and it still works. Nothing bad to say about this company.
Very informative and useful. Thank you. The background music is unnecessary and disturbing to listening to your talking. It would be very nice for this video or any other video that the background music is excluded. Thanks.
Thanks! Great review, covered all the points I wanted to know about these clippers. Cheers,
F in the chat for that mans hair that he cut 🤣
I'm currently using the ga.ma pro8 at home. Works well.
I bought these clippers for about $50(US) and for the price considering all that you get it can't be beat. The guards are very sturdy with metal clips that attach to the machine and alone go for about $30. The machine itself is heavier than just about any other clipper on the market at 2.5 lbs but if you're using these at home for yourself and your kids it shouldn't tire you out. if you were using them all day in a barbershop you might feel like you're in a gym doing curls after about 5 or 6 hours.
Thank you very much for such a great review, you cover all bases.
lol, I had flashbacks of my dad cutting my hair. How did these sound loud after a few months? Mine sound like a lawnmower!
They're loud, that's for sure!
Very good review. Thank you.
My God you bald off your sons hair ,you could have given him a number 1 all over, your terrible, poor child.
Good thing there's room for improvement. Thanks Malik!
🤣
You need to adjust your blades. The top blade tip of blade should be equal distance from the bottom tip of blade from left to right. You have more distance on the right side, in this video. That will cut the hair unevenly and made a fade less crisp. To do this, turn the clipper over to the bottom, slightly loosen the two large screws on the blade housing and manually adjust the blades to give a slight even-all-the-way gap between the tip of the top blad and the tip of the bottom blade. This is a point where you can ''zero gap'' your blades, meaning you leave no space between the tips of the top and tips of the bottom blades, but this is only recommended if you know what you are doing and your kids can sit still, as it is more likely to cut skin this way.
Thanks for the tips, and you know the kids will never sit still. lol.
I bought the elite pro over a year and I can honestly say that thing does the job. I'm a barber and believe it or not, this is one of my go to machine.
How is it for fading? I'm not a barber but I fade my beard and have done this for some time but he made it sound as if its difficult to fade with it.
@@harjasmarok7133 it does very well. If you're going to go from skin to hairline you MUST zero gap them to get a smooth transition.
@@jaysteph2978 Thanks for the reply! I use a zero gapped trimmer for the skin part and lining up. I ended up buying the elite pro and it arrived today. Haven't cut with it yet but the quality is excellent.
@@jaysteph2978i, old post but hopefully you still reply - Do you need to zero gap for all fading when not from skin? I’m new to this so sorry if that sounds a little dumb
@@Allegro_Giusto no need to zero gap if you're going to the skin
I have the same card and it used to work a few months ago with zoom , teams and skype but for 4 months now i no longer can use the elgato with the Teams client app. It will still work with the web version but that is limited to display features. Is yours still working with the teams app? It does show up in the settings but the far end does not get the video
Great review fella. Well done 👌
how long is the cable bro ?
it's about 6feet long.
Extreme Grip VS Wahl Elite Pro HELP
loved you and the video was great
Thanks Steve, the boys made me do it, lol.
I bought these 5 days ago, and have the Wahl color coming in the mail. I"m amazed I can buy a kit with so many pieces for only 67 Canadian... It seems of such high quality... are these type of Units known to crap out after a couple years? Somethings not adding up, such quality for such a low price.
Mine is still going fine, and I've already had my money's worth, especially when compared with the cost of getting a haircut at the barber shop post covid.
Is the wahl elite pro good beard trimming?
Hi Brandin, Thanks for your comment! I have never used it for beard trimming, but the advice I got is to use a dedicated trimmer. Thanks
Excellent review. Hope you do more of them. I just picked one of these up for my hair (white guy with short sides and back, a bit longer on top). The thing worked great with my limited skills. Agree with all your comments and yeah, a divided case is a great idea.
Hi cal me
why not connect your cam directly to your laptop? Then you do not need the Elgato? I'm not getting it?
I have the same issue like yours, I hope someone enlighten me.
Mine after 15 mins started to get so hot than I couldn’t touch it
Good video very detailed, thanks for review.
Thanks John.
Thanks so much for this review. We bought the clippers and I’m going to use them for the first time shortly so your video helped prepare me for that task. (And your kid is cute!☺️). Thanks again!
@Alunavision thank you and I hope you get the best out of this Clipper.
"Either bully of bribe them" 😂 awesome review man. I can tell you're an awesome dad.
Thanks Darren, you just lit me up! Thanks!
I am wondering to buy it since mine broke today, can I use this for 2,3 - 2,5mm?
I'm not sure but it comes with a kit of blades.
LOVED THE VIDEO! Don't even have that hair texture but watched all the way though. Thanks for review! Editing on the video is also amazing
Thank you very much for the comment.
Your blade are not perpendicular bro right side is under ... i was experiencing same on my wahl balding ..
Thanks Mehdi, i realized it needed some alignment, and it's quite easy to do.
Thank you for doing such a well done, thorough review! This is exactly what I was looking for!
Thank you Jenny, I appreciate the support!
I've had this machine since 2016. These are great all around clippers. I fade with this all of the time and you have to know the proper technique to blend (go long to short). I've cut long and short hair and if you make good use of the guard combs, you can cut great styles with it. You may be able to use it for trimming, but I use the Wahl T-Pro trimmers.
It is a good machine. I find it's becoming easier to use as time has gone bye and I sure could improve my skills.
If you're looking for this model but with the left and right ear taper guards the model # is 79734. I just ordered mine on Best Buy for $64 total. Model # 79602 doesn't include the ear guards. Hope this helps anyone.
Thank you Tom, this is very relevant information.
Thank you so much. Much love to you and your kids for making such a wholesome review
Thank you Thomas, and you're welcome.
