Started collecting 2012 re-igniting memories from my 70's childhood when my grandmother bought me a blue MBX 75 Pontiac Firebird with yellow windows - I remember looking at the artwork on each box, stored behind a glass counter (you couldn't see the model), and the satisfaction when opened, I knew I'd made the right decision.
Love finding a HW for 20p at a boot sale, or coming across an unusual diecast on eBay.
Has to be 1/64. MBX & HW match this most of the time, then they go and make a mini bigger and a Cadillac smaller 'so they fit in similar sized packs'☹️. It's fun for collectors & kids to see how crazy a Caddy and a Mini look together.
As we follow this hobby, we see its connection to our social history - each car has a story, and is a reflection of an era.
From time to time you might see updates on our Defender - our restoration project.

Yes they do.

I use a silver pen on the wheels of Majorette and they look like new , especially on the three spoke ones .

Are those all matchbox?
Yes they're all Matchbox except for the big yellow cab with TANK written on the trailer which is non-branded. The silver bulk carrier & the trailer carrying a tank are Matchbox Convoys - an awesome series with trailers more towards 1/64 scale, however some of the newest Convoys like the Tesla Semi truck are smaller.
I have the red and yellow c 900.

Awesome model..bet can take 2 to 3 cars
Currently 3 cars in there - Mazda Cosmo, Toyota 2000GT and an MR2 - these slightly narrower castings fit between the internal side columns

Mega lift mobile crane in 1/64 scale by Kaidewei - boom measures 100cm so 1/1 equivalent would be 64m height
these are beach sedimentary rock formations less than a metre high in East Sussex graced by a Jeep Wrangler by Siku in 1/64 scale
