I've been doing solo home hemo for two and a half months now and I basically forgot some of the teachings about cannulation. This video is perfect. Holding the needle just behind the wings the way the doctor demonstrated is a game changer!

Hi Stuart.... I'm hoping you can answer my question or point me to resources to find out. I've been working in dialysis for 22years, 2 different states. When transitioning from a cath to a fistula, using one needle, one port, is the fistula used for arterial or venous? I was taught venous for avf and we just hired a new director and he says we are doing it wrong.
