I have found that random people are so much more willing to approach me and conversate than before I had to walk with my wheels. I think it brings people's guard down.

what's sad about DEI is it started from a racist and sexist origin of thought, and it has caused racial and sexual biases in education, hiring, and socialization. white people and men aren't represented in demographics trends in any of those three areas. white people, and especially men have lower education outcomes, lower workplace integration, fewer friends and relationships. i'm not saying the thought wasn't good intentioned by some of the people who pushed the process of inclusion, but there is clear bias and desires for exclusion of said peoples in the prevailing political and social narratives. it's fucking tragic.

DEI soon to be replaced by old school MEI. Instead of diversity,equity and inclusion there will be merit, excellence and intelligence.

Bed height! That's why I don't travel anymore, I am an incomplete Quadraplegic who travels alone. Most manual whelchairs with a cushion are 20" off the floor so a 20" to 24" bed is great. What would be awesome is a height adjustable bed, a frame that goews up and down electrically, that way the bed height could change to accomidate almost anyone.

Kindest is so easy when it is a good thing that one can get for a nother person and they are probably going to feel like they are loved and cared for by one person that has been there for them and they don’t want any thing but to make them feel loved and appreciated by another person that has done something to make them smile and feel loved maybe even make them feel like they’re are not alone and they have a very difficult time with their life right now but it’s not hard to be there for someone and to be a friend that they can really trust and count on even when they’re really are not doing well and they have a hard time with their own life right now I think that this is the best gift that someone can give to anyone ever give them the best respect and attention that ever has wanted to have that is the best gift they can get and it’s probably the most beautiful thing that anyone can give to others

That’s so beautiful. As a sighted person with all sighted family members I’m embarrassed to say I never really thought about how someone who was blind would never get to “witness” their children’s milestones. I’m am so happy you shared this amazing moment with all of us.
