Yes I completely agree with this move by the Philippine Army to recommission our serviceable FV101's into combat status, but it shouldn't stop there, coz warfare isn't the same as it was 20 or 30 years ago, today it's the "Age of Drones,"(FPV's, UCAV's, UGV's, etc.) and our FV101 Light Tanks/Reconnaissance Vehicles should be equipped a comprehensive set of "Stand-off Armor/ Cope Cages" to mitigate the threats posed by drones. Plus our Army can add the PH "Buhawi RWS," armed with M2 HB or 7.62mm GPMG and if possible, a pair of ATGM's.

If I am not mistaken the SS54 is the Oyashio Class diesel electric submarine that was first commissioned in 1998. It is slowly being phased out and replaced by the more advanced Soryu Class. Currently the latest and most advanced Japanese submarine, probably the best in the world is the Taigei Class, the first to be powered by Lithium Ion Battery....Very quiet... I don't think the Japanese SS54 is any match for the Chinese submarines being very old......
