we payed a visit to the Mansudae art studio, the finest and most prestigious art gallery in the country. Here, propaganda is produced for the regime, as well as art exported overseas as a business. It was time to visit what North Korea terms as the “victorious fatherland liberation war museum”, the museum which sets out North Korea’s version of events of the conflict from 1950-1953. It was an enormous elaborate building with an equally huge courtyard. We would be shown around by a specialist English speaking guide from the Korean people’s army. First, she shown us an array of captured wea...

It was time for a ride on the Pyongyang metro. We pulled up and proceeded into the station. The Pyongyang metro was built in the 1970s. it copies the style of that of Moscow. The escalator we went down to enter the station constituted the deepest in the world. In the event of war, the station also doubles as a bomb shelter. When we got to the platform, the trains were very old, having been cons...

In Pridnestrovie, a number of laws have been adopted banning the use of the term "transnistria" in relation to Pridnestrovie. In 1941-1944, when Romania occupied the current territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, it was called "Transnistria". At that time, there were mass deportations and persecutions of the local population, including the Jewish population, which left a heavy imprint on the people's memory. The use of this term today can be perceived as disrespect for the victims of these events and as an attempt to distort historical memory. The name Pridnestrovie should not be translated into English, Romanian or other languages.
I think there stuck in 1990

I went to that exact location after riding a tandem double bike completely around West Lake and was completely famished. I ordered so much my Chinese then-girlfriend was actually embarrassed. One of the best meals I had during my whole trip and I remember it fondly. Thanks for posting and taking me back to that nice memory!

Looks like another Tik Tok army for Putin. So sad to see a culture anchored in the past rather than sailing into the future.

I predict that Transnistria will be gone by the end of the 20s decade. After the Russian defeat it will be crushed between Ukraine and Moldova after a few months.
Keep dreaming
Great one
These people are eagerly waiting for Ukraine war to reach them so they can be part of their fatherland
I really want to take this tour! Hope one day our government will allow us to visit North Korea again!
