I remember, I gained a few levels. Went out there, thinking I was hercules fused with christopher columbus. And lost all my gear , because I fell off the boat. And got attacked by 🦈 sharks. Zones stayed impactful, because high leveled mobs roamed around.

Even if EQN will now never see the light of day, maybe this song can do some good somewhere.

great memories, one of my first and fondest memories of everquest was stepping on the boat for the first time in bb to freeport and hearing that flute, everquest was an true adventure

I remember taking this trip many times; in the early days (Before Kunark) it was the only way between continents without a Druid. Also, don't move around on the boat! You could glitch off the boat and end up swimming the rest of the way. Once, a friend an I took a trip on the boat on the opening of the Kunark expansion and cast levitate half-way to get to one of the islands. On our way there we were both one-hit by Faydedar and had an epic adventure getting our corpses back from the bottom of the ocean! That was a fun night :P

I love the soundtracks of Landmark... I really hope EQN and EQL come out soon, it would be a huge disappointment if they don't... Even though they've already disappointed us a few times.

Why do I feel nostalgic towards the music of a game that came out a year ago

No to be a jerk, but compared to EQ1's Natimbi, Plane of Torment, or even Felwithe tracks, these tunes are very minimalistic and not very memorable. In fact, I think they're a bit lame... :-(

That music is so nice, thought I recognised the composer when I heard Skyrim :p
