All of Season 9 was literally devoted to showing why Barney and Robin don't work, and yet people don't understand why Ted and Robin get back together at the end. The deleted dinner scene was really important, though, to show that Ted had moved on from Robin. Its a shame they couldn't have freedom for the runtime of the finale and had to cut many things short. I really like how realistic the ending is, with how messy and unsafe relationships can be.

Too bad they didn't keep the last scene with Marshall and Lilly, that would have made that ending a little less sucky

HIMYM spoiler alert: I really don't hate on the ending at all. Yes, ofc it's crazy sad that Tracy dies... BUT. I understnad what they wanted with it. The story starts from when Ted meets Robin for the first time. They are bound to be together even though they want diffrent things. Ted want's kids, a family. He got this with Tracy. Robin wanted to travel the world, be free and she didnt want kids, she couldnt even have kids. She got to see the world. Even tho it's horrible that Tracy has to go for them to happen again, I think it's a wonderful and thoughtout ending. Endings can't always be unicorns and rainbows, luckily :P Ted and Robin fulfilled their lifelong dreams, and still got to be together in the end.

They dressed their characters, I love that. This was so amaxing to watch.

I'm only halfway through and absolutely lost it twice already. The emotions in this show were so real and I love that they tackled in this finale how the gang would realistically evolve, not in a FRIENDS way. I think the actors choked up partly because they knew that the same was going to happen to them after spending 9 years closely together. Sadly real life happens to all of us.

In the UK, until the 80s, many public buildings -mostly those pre-WWII - such as Post Offices, courts, civil service & local govt offices etc) had resident cats for rodent control. That ended (due to privatisation, insurance etc), only to return now as its realised cats are unbeatable at that job and also boost worker morale. Its nice to see here other such venues worldwide seem to have 'working' cats too.
