Join me as I work a Bank Holiday (Monday 27th May 2024) on service 80 between Chesterfield & Killamarsh which runs through Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Calow, Brimington, Staveley, Mastin Moor, Renishaw, Spinkhill, High Moor & Norwood. I want to see the camera strapped the window are strapped the body I'll show you the bus to the route and then wait to finish and then show you around but you do not something different I like it but still think camera to the body would work keep up the good content😊😊😊
When i was kid up on the top deck on a tight right hander that even the mighty Schoo wouldnt make.. we all moved to the far right seat if driver had 4 tyres on rear axle, he was surly on his last bead. Bus stolpped just ahead of red light x roads and by the war memorial and church. He came stomping upstairs ( before cctv) "YOUR PARENTS ARE GETTIN YA BLOODY NAMES" shaking fist. I later passed a CPCS for a 40 tonne machine and utmost respect for school bus drivers ever since.
Show me stagecoach follows tram to birley when snow falls friday afternoon . Snowfall got heavier up manor top maybe control said "dude your on your own " we will recover our fleet as soon as we can. Knighthood took us over gleadless on tram route on origin 120 i never shook his hand after 3 hours of 20 ton slides while trying to protect the (plough) the tram lines
Ah! You were doing the BP1 tram replacement bus service from Fitzalan Square to Herdings Park. I remember that. I made a bus ride video on it a few weeks ago if anyone wants to watch it?
Awersome video thinking of doing something like this in future or just a driving job Can I ask if you drive in the city do you get canteens for drivers ?
Usually there are staff areas for drivers to have their breaks in, either in the depot, bus stations or nearby

I didn't know what was more boring than being on a bus. I do now, watching being on a bus on RUclips while being on a bus 😅
Tried to watch your videos. RUclips says there aren’t any. I wonder why that is????
Its good to see drivers from different companies acknowledge and say hello to each other, in london most drivers wont even wave to someone from a different garage let alone company lol
Some garages are better than others! But there are a select few that just don’t wave regardless. At the end of the day, we all do the same job

@DazzaYT probably waved to you a fair few times when I’ve been on the 80 then 😂 most of you Chesterfield guys wave 👍🏻
I pity the folk in the bus business, your wages as a driver didn't even get covered today 😅
Since this video captures the gearbox well, this helped me try to understand when the bus goes into neutral gear. I enjoyed listening to this, as well.

This is a good view, should definitely do more of these, must admit I do miss driving buses and coaches just not all the hassle that goes with transporting the public lol

I can try - might do a little bit about this in my next video, but as it varies between rotas I can only explain the one I’m on 👍🏻

I’ve had a couple of weeks off on holiday, first day back today. A mixed bag of routes, but the 80 and 120k are now combined!
