I don't make fun of people with down syndrome and I treat them differently than others because I respect them because I have to and they have a lot of confidence in themselves because they are human beings with feelings
I got suspended from middle school for beating up someone for picking on my friend Carlos he has down syndrome. When I got back to school the next week he was upset that I was mean to the bullies he has no idea what he ment to me .
Five jobs ? I love this video, it really shows people with Down Syndrome in a positive light. Just living thier lives however they want independently, just like the rest of us. Like they say. "We are more alike than different". 👍👍
"I study special ed" "No you study english in special ed class" "I study special english class" "You forgot ed" "Who's ed?" "Oh god i wish i was dead" "I study special english class oh god i wish i was dead!"
I'm sure people with down syndrome can lead happy lives and give happiness to others, but why on earth do people keep repeating it's a gift/blessing from god?
my name is Julie Elizabeth there's some Down syndrome I'm going to go to college because I want to be a musician just like my dad I have to follow my dad's footsteps that's what I want to be when I grow up I want to be head owner and the head manager the president of CEO records worldwide Hall of Fame
"The system is set up to screen out people to get the best person for the job. E pluribus unum is our national motto for a reason. People are different and it is up to us to respect the differences if we are going to win together on this planet."
this makes me feel more comfortable about the future, if I had a daughter someday with down syndrome, that's will be good, now I know to a down syndrome person can have a normal life which is amazing, this people,I really feel like they can be my friends ,I really think so!! this is amazing.
My baby brother is going to be born in a couple of months and we found out yesterday he has Down's syndrome and at first I was so scared and worried for him but now I'm just so happy! Happy god decided to bless my family and I with such a special little baby. They're so sweet, cute and loveable. They're Angels ❤️
stop fooling yourself: your brother will be a burden on you and your family. Trust me, I've been there, he won't be a blessing but rather a curse. And have you thought about when he is a grown up and unable to leave home, have a family, go to college? Who will take care of him when your parents die? Will your future husband agree to marry you knowing that you will be your brother caregiver when your parents die? This video sugarcoats DS and you'll be lucky if your brother turns out to be high-functioning. Most DS people are not. Your life is going to change and not for the better. He won't remain a cute kid for life...I highly recommend you to ask your mother to abort as this will destroy your family.
+mila ur so fucked up u just let this guy walk over u .. Ur brother is ur brother ... DONT EVER LET PEOPLE SAY THAT OR TALK DOWN ON YOUR BROTHER DEFEND HIM AND BE THERE FOR HIM
+Darrick Hernandez I'm fucked up for letting someone walk over me? Jfc no one walked over me. I don't care about random people opinions, especially when I didn't ask for it. I love my brother so much and that's all I care about! I'm not going to argue w someone I don't even know, not going to waste my time lmao
Some tarts are higher functioning than others. Yet still not safe, trustworthy and reliable enough to be productive members of the community. I wish retards were higher functioning.
One of my closest childhood friends has Down Syndrome and let me tell you, she's the greatest thing that happened to me. She never lets any negativity get to her and she is a secretary in an office on the Boulevard and a teacher's assistant at a local school. Her zest for life and no-nonsense can-do attitude is what inspires me to not only be a better person, but to thrive and reach my goals. She's always been supportive to me and I can't thank her enough for having her in my life. All those saying hurtful things to people with Down Syndrome are nothing more than shallow people who really need to re-evaluate their morals and values because like it or not, we are all created in the image of our Creator. That being said, just like the message in the video, we are more alike than different.
Sick and disgusting propanganda! Why encourage people to give birth to genetic abnormalities?!!! What the hell?! My sister has down syndrome and, believe me, it's a horrible situation to be in and I don't wish it on anyone. Whenever I think about it, I want to cry and commit suicide. My life is ruined because I know that I'll never be able to have a normal life, a husband, kids and so on because when my parents die, I'll be the one taking care of her. Future parents, please, you need to get screened for genetic diseases like DS and ABORT if you know that your kid is going to be disabled. If you ever have that kid, not only you'll ruin your life but the one of the siblings who end up being disturbed and depressed adults. Those who want to sugarcoat the reality of the siblings/parents' lives, good luck taking care of a 40-50 yo DS person. I don't care how "special" or "wonderful" they (think)they are but they are NOT blessings!! The truth is that most of them will never be independant and they will remain burdens for their family and society. And LOTS of them are clearly not like the ones in this video but are in the low-end of the spectrum. Once again: having a kid with DS means no future, no retirement, financial hardships, no rest before you DIE and the burden get passed on to the siblings. Don't be selfish and ABORT that kid while it's not too late. Your other children will THANK you. And I'm pretty sure DS people would prefer NOT to be born that way either, no matter what this video shows. Such a shame that they took advantage of those DS people to make them lie to fool future parents who have no idea about the mess they're getting into by giving birth to a DS baby...trust me, DON'T DO IT!! It's all cute and sweet first, but it becomes a freaking nightmares pretty fast!!
+carocarochan wow. i'm so shocked you would even say such words about your own sister. i honestly feel bad for her to have you as a sibling. i'm guessing you have never been to a down syndrome event like the buddy walk? because if you did you would see a lot of them work, live by themselves, go to collage, and are certainly not annoying. they show so much love and happiness and i pray my down syndrome son never ever runs into someone who has so much hate towards down syndrome. btw you say for us to get genetic testing i knew in a sonogram that my son had down syndrome i continued my pregnancy even after getting it confirmed from test. a diagnoses doesn't define my child and it would never make me abort either. he even has a loving older brother who defends him from people like you.
+Shellandboys Well, I hope your normal son is not putting on a show like I did for many years..."Everything's ok, my brother is wonderful, such a blessing blah blah..."while lothing him deep inside for robbing his childhood. Just like me, he is on the way of a severe breakdown when he realizes that his adult life will be HUGELY impacted by his brother disability Also, you're very selfish to have given birth to a defective baby while knowing it way before. Who's going to take care of it when you die? I bet you're counting on your other son/:I'm sure he will thank you some day for having ruined his future and imposed such a nuisance on him and his future wife. A neverending burden.... good job! And most DS don't go to college or live by themselves: I hope your son will be one them because it will be no fun anymore when he is still living with you at 50 yo. You can still hope but you'll be disappointed lady!
oh goodness you sound so dumb plain out dumb for everything you just said. im selfish for giving a child a life and not caring about his defect? it doesnt and wont defind him. and im sorry your life is so damn horrible but my kids will have the best life. my wonderful down syndrome son wont affact my other wonderful sons life what so ever. bless your sisters heart for having to deal with such an ugly person like you. you have a wonderful night god bless.
Facing the truth hurts huh? But no need to be insulting: be rationale please. Good luck with your son but don't expect me to believe your fairy tale. And depends on what you mean by "the best life"...I'm pretty sure that forcing your DS child to be born is not what he would have wanted. You delibarately condemmed him to a life of misery, being secretly looked down on by other people (who are secretely disguted by him) and never achieving anything valuable except making you happy...such a good life! We'll see in 30 years how you feel about his existence. And don't forget: you'll die one day and you'll let him behind not knowing if he will be properly taken care of. He will likely end up in a shitty group home (unless you will force his normal brother to provide for him): what a wonderful future for both of your sons. Can't wait till it happens!
I have a visual disability. NO ONE defines it or my quality of life. No one has the right to do that to anyone. The true "drains on society" are the smart people who have to have everything on their terms. a hundred years ago and well into the 20th century, blind people were, in some aspects, treated worse than slaves or free blacks. At least they had segregated cars. We had to ride in baggage cars. People used to see us as dead weight or helpless. To the guy making the outlandish comments, I could run circles around you any day of the week. They asked my husband, "How do you keep up with her?" He shook his head and said, "I don't even try." The value of a human being is NOT in the eye of the beholder. It is in the eye of the wise.
You people on here making fun of them are just pathetic evil human beings! How would you like someone to make fun of you for being just a little bit different than everybody else? It just shows that you have no morals and that you're just black inside! Having Down syndrome does not make you any less of a person than any of you! In my opinion they are so much better than most of the people that I know! They love unconditionally and for gods sake all they want to do is just be treated the same as everyone else! My cousin has Down syndrome and she's probably one of the best human being that I've ever had the chance to meet! She's the sweetest most kindest person I've ever known! She is ten times better than all of you all who say stupid things but I know that if she read your hateful comments that she'd forgive you because that's how good of a human being she is! Your comments just show how pathetic you are!!!
+Amanda Mattingly Some day Amanda, some of these people will have a child with a disability and won't be able to protect them from people like themselves. It'll probably change their thinking a little. People reap what they sow.
Awhh💗💗😭😭 this just tore my heart apart that people would make fun of them and call them "retarded" "stupid" "mental" "disordered".. This people need to burn in HELL soo badly till they get skin cancer. They will see all the good people watching them and laughing from heaven. Then they'll know how it feels like to hurt someone. Words kill. Some people are really sensitive that even if someone calls the other "ugly" they would start cutting and commit suicide only after that one word. So watch your language bitch. And YES I did swear but I'm just warning you.
Some of these comments really piss me off! people need to stop their own stupidity by educating themselves. Im very proud of all of these people and it is true we are more alike than different so treat others the way you wish to be treated in life.
I feel for these people, especially because I know they're victims. Victims of corporate negligence, we're being constantly poisoned through foods and air.
I have a few friends that have down syndrome

people who mistreat DS individuals have their throne reserved in hell....(REMEMBER THAT). :)
