If a picture is worth a thousand words, access to the artifact, wreck or intact, is worth volumes in the boat building world. New build, replication, restoration, any commission represents a chance in traditional boat building to march down the avenues of lore, research, and even hearsay to dig out the techniques and methods that made the vessel possible. The resulting product could be viewed as a celebration of the abilities of those who created the original; a celebration that hopefully inspires and carries on with succeeding generations.
