where to get that java code for demo application?
when you kill the leader and wait for new one to be elected, you have downtime, you clients will send messages and get no response how is that acceptable in HFT system? or do you work around that problem somehow? also taking a snapshot is downtime since you can do it only on leader and it will freeze if you have GBs of data to serialise... so how do you take snapshots without downtime?
