It is about winning, plain and simple. Since most divorce is initiated by women, prepare yourself, and protect yourself because her and her lawyer will come for you. Advice from people that have no idea what marriage is about. Marriage isn’t for yourself or to make you happy. It’s a covenant that is made to last forever, it is selfless, to put your spouse before yourself! People look at marriage selfishly, as to what their mate can do for them, and that if their spouse doesn’t make them happy, they somehow married the wrong person and deserve better, that is NOT what marriage is, and as long as people come into a marriage with that mindset, you are setting yourself up for failure! Great way of putting it into words. I think people often attach to the wrong people just for those one or two glimpses of what they say they can help us to gain release. Kinda goes like “Yeah, I can help you do this, that, etc. Trust me. I know all about it”. This only furthers the problem. We think we are gaining help, but all we gain is another burden.

I don’t know why everyone wants to get married because now a days nobody wants till death do us part. Now a days people divorce for the smallest reasons, just stay together with the person but don’t get divorced it’s just stupid piece of paper. Once the honeymoon faise is over that’s when that’s when the problems start. The best advice to anyone out there who doesn’t want to end up in divorce court or have there assets split right in the middle and have them take away half of what you worked hard for just don’t get married. I got married at a young age and it only lasted half a year and thank goodness I didn’t have any assets at the time cause I was barely 19-20 but imagine if I did half of my stuff would’ve been hers so if anyone doesn’t want that drama and stress just plain and simple don’t get married
