How long should i bake??
Thank you so much for this recipe! I have tried so many different recipes for a moist small batch of cupcakes and yours is no fail and versatile!. I use smart balance for butter, coconut milk in place of milk and add about a quarter cup of hot water if needed to thin the batter. Works with cupcakes and a quick moist carrot cake. Thank you again! ❤

I think if the cake is left out at room temp they’ll start to get soft. If the cake is outside, they’ll probably become softer quicker and perhaps melt.

What type of pastry are the tart shells made of?
I've used both store-bought refrigerated pie crust and homemade pie crust. Either will work fine for this recipe.

mine came out not having the shiny cracked top, any advice?
A few things…it could have been the cookie dough/batter was over mixed, sat too long before baking, or baked a little too long. I recommend too making sure your oven is calibrated correctly (having an oven thermometer helps).

Hi! This batter is best used immediately. You can freeze the baked cookies though!

Thanks! To answer your question, I only tested the recipe using light corn syrup so can’t give any substitute recommendations.
