This song was conceived in 1980 at the dawn of my "career". I transposed and relearned it rewriting the parts I couldn't remember. The urge to hybernate is strong in November when the cold hits. Sarah Hamilton recorded the video and opened the show along with Bruce Warren.

❤ sweet harmony, so glad to hear, thanks Bruce.💯💕
Salida's VERY BEST.....the very best
After playing for a few years,'Rag Bag', 'Look So Good', you soon realize they are derivatives of Amazing Grace,Auld Lang Syne,Loch Lomond and all the other Scottish Reels. Much like Mark Knopflers 'Going Home Theme'. I idolized Lindley for a good 15 years but soon learned he was very basic compared to the technical difficulty of what Jerry Douglas was/is playing. Lindley is a great gateway player to discovering lap style playing.
Well said. David got me into lap style and Jerry took it further. I got to study with Jerry for a week and he really kicked my G tuning Dobro playing in the butt. David though has a unique style that knows no parallel. I don't think anyone can really duplicate his right hand technique...and then there's all the other instruments that he mastered. I love them both.
I got that model & year when I was young (15 in 1965). Shouldn't tell you what I paid.... Did have that sound... finally sold in 2000 as I was moving to Asia and thought it might come all unglued. And so it goes. Nice
Wonderful!
Nicely Done!
A sweet tribute, Bruce. Superb.
Thank you!
Nicely done, sir! I too was inspired by Mr.Dave. I too picked up steel bar, laid my guitar lap and learned "Glad Rags!"
I assume you meant "RagBag", nor "GladRags".
Me too. Thanks.
Great sound!
Aloha🏝️🏝️🏝️
Sounds brilliant!
Another disciple of Dave's. Well done sir!

Perfect 1981 Setzer sound. Wonder if the new TV Jones Ful Fidelity Filtertrons can be degaused a bit to get that spongy bite. Maybe it is just the old wood and construction? Anyways good stuff thanks for posting
That was a good one, but a good part of that tone is the '82 Fender/Rivera Concert amp. Let me know if degaussing works!
Part of the spongy thing might be that the neck angle is low for a Bigsby on a lot of early Gretsch models.
Right, I added the Bigsby to this one. I've left my '58 stock but...it would be mo' betta with a Bigsby.
I have this guitar but without the bigsby.... little older too.. serial points it to 1958
awesome !!! in this video, did you use any pedals?
Straight into the amp, a Rivera era Fender Concert.
sounds very good man, nice playing, love that sunburst!! cool amplifier;)
Yes, they have a beefy trestle brace, same as a 6120. The filtertrons were the more expensive pup and were changed in '60. The first 2 years with the PAFs are the ones. '58 sports an ebony fretboard with another fret. Got one of those here.
These Double Annis are sleepers in the vintage guitar world. They cost about the same as the reissues!
La classe mondiale! I want to buy one, Setzer sound!
I love the feeling of this song.
Take me back to HOWARD!
