    Very interesting. I expected the center vent to open more thus allowing more air out, but that’s not the case! I have a trickle of air coming out when selecting full cold and I think that’s normal. These jags were weird lol

    Is this the same blower that comes on the gen 2 or stronger upgrade

    • @thomaspokrefke6499
      @thomaspokrefke6499 6 месяцев назад

      It's the one that comes with the gen 2 unit. I took it off to relocate it for my application.

    So why did you have to put dye I'm there for that large of a leak? Or is it not dye. Either way

    • @thomaspokrefke6499
      @thomaspokrefke6499 8 месяцев назад

      It was only a small leak at first, that's why I put dye in. It suddenly got to the point where it was easily visible to the naked eye but the dye makes it easier to see on camera.

    Thanks for the video. Just bought an XK and wondered why the lights do this on start up? Showboating? 😉🧐

    • @thomaspokrefke6499
      @thomaspokrefke6499 2 года назад

      It's a test to make sure the active headlight system is functioning properly. The lights turn left and right as you turn the steering wheel. It's a great feature.

    • @morimop
      @morimop 2 года назад

      @@thomaspokrefke6499 thanks yes it is I’ve noticed that they do that. Maybe no need for the extra bulb that lights to turn right and left. Mine is 2011. I have a 2010 XF too and I can’t fathom why that has an auxiliary input and the XK doesn’t 😀 I do like the more pronounced blinking indicators on the rear.

    How noisy is the blower when installed? I’ve heard other mfg who’s fans sound like a turbine jet over the sound of a bbc

    You didn't do that!! You actually did! Wow! Great, excellent. What did you have to do with the control electronics and how does it all tie into the original delanair stuff? Which one is this, del 1,2,3?

    • @thomaspokrefke6499
      @thomaspokrefke6499 3 года назад

      It's a 1989 XJS, so Delenair MkIII. I am removing the MkIII and putting in a Vintage Air Gen II Super unit. Some of the MkIII parts are no longer available and when the heater core started leaking I decided to replace it. I'll control the fresh air/recirc linear actuators using a simple DPST momentary-on switch. More details on this thread. www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xjs-x27-32/looking-come-back-xjs-world-244431/page10/
