Dave Dickson - Broken Mirror (Accent) - Rare Downer Psych 45
This is a truly rare record self-released by an enigmatic artist named Dave Dickson living in Los Angeles in the mid 70s. There is very little information about Dave or this record. I found a copy of this over 15 years ago and was immediately blown away. It's a unique combination of glacial paced, hypnotic Ted Lucas-esque downer psych with killer drums and synthesizer.
Here's what I know ... I tried tracking down the artist with the help of a couple friends years ago shortly after discovering and hit a dead end. We are fairly certain the artist passed away and unfortunately left little info behind.

One of my psych garage 45 mixes I made for a Waxidermy mix swap from 2010. This mix is a blend of original 45s with a couple lps thrown in for good measure. Magic Tower - Everybody Disco Rare disco, boogie 45 track by Steve Ladd from Dallas, Texas on the obscure Magic Tower label. Really great mid-tempo groove! This is likely the only release on that label created as a one-off by this local musician and radio dj/personality. This is the flip side to "Dreamin", the sweet soul A side.
