Great video, i bought the STS 10 also, but got the 55LB. thrust Minn Kota and a 12.8v 100 AH Lithium ion phosphate battery to power it. I get 6+ hours of runtime compared to the original 27 size lead acid battery that i bought originally, which got 2.5 hrs.! I have yet to run the lithium battery out of juice., and use the lead acid battery for a back up. Great fishing boat! and i totally agree about the ice skating effect with the boat at low speeds. I find myself coming in hot with the prop up before landing. The boat is very well constructed. I did not get the canvas top on mine.

Just take a flat head and push the tab to take the cover off

Push the tab and the fuel cap cover slides off. Takes a second.

thanks for the help. as an alternative, I thought I'd drill a small hole and use a cotter pin. didn't have one small enough, so I used a paper clip.

I'm thinking about getting an STS10 with a Minn Kota Endura C2 or Endura Max motor. Need to decide on motor thrust, shaft length, and battery capacity. After owning it for a few years, would you still recommend it?

I tried to put a new assembly into my 2009 F150 and nearly lost my mind...that hinge pin / post kept coming out..you have provided a means to an end with drilling a small hole and adding a screw and washer to keep that from happening...Thank you!!

Thanks worked like a charm. I didn't use a screw I pressed on a toothed washer on the end of the shaft, time will tell. I should of dabbed the washer with JB weld, just thought of it. BTW Ford had quoted me several hundred dollars to do a repair of course they were the same clowns who told me my differential seal was leaking 50K ago, haven't see a sign of oil after I cleaned off the oil they sprayed on the seal.

As someone said before thanks for posting. I was wondering what your speed is on 4 & 5. The lake I fish is about 3 miles long. Trying to decide on whether I need one or two batteries. Also, which speeds do you think would be ok for trolling? As I could troll till I get to where I’m going to fish. Thanks again. By the way I got the same boat. But I didn’t get the canopy. As I fly fish mostly.

THANKS SO MUCH! BTW, the door can be removed but pulling up a tab on the bottom left of inside door using a screwdriver, just slides right off.

Great idea! My 2004 F-150 Super Crew is somewhat different. I ended up epoxying a neodymium magnet inside the right side of the housing and then I added a steel screw to the door. They line up well and hold the door shut tightly. I didn’t have to disassemble anything and it has held for eight years. This problem should have been a recall repair as well as the window regulators. Three of my four door have had the regulators crap out. It is a $500.00 repair at the dealer. The parts are on Amazon for 50 bucks. What a ripoff!

Thanks for your help. Prior to doing anything I ordered the fuel door repair kit from Amazon for $12.95. I watched the first few minutes of some joker’s video where the guy was talking about his morning coffee and how beautiful the sunrise was. That was all I needed to watch from that guy. I hate it when people go off subject or worse yet try to be funny. Anyway your video was to the point with no superfluous bullshit. I took the yellow ring off along with the three screws, crawled under the vehicle and pinched the one tab and pulled out the assembly. My fuel door had the plastic pin but was missing the spring. The Amazon repair kit had everything including a pin that goes through a hole in the main pin and then a keeper. The metal pin will never raise up like the OE pin did. Thanks a bunch.
