Mick Garryowen is a authentic irish song , it’s been played by Irish regiments all over the world, including our own fighting 69th. The fighting Irish.This song has been played by these regiments long before there was a 7th cav.
Interesting that an Irish group would choose the most iconic American military parade song, the "Garryowen"of the 7th Cavalry.
The tune is Irish, brought here by immigrants. The various army units borrowed it. My grandfather was in I company of the Fighting 69th in WWI and k new two sets of lyrics - one in Gaelic (almost unpronounceable.)

When I was in the army cadets this was my favourite pipe song ever, LOVE IT. Brings back so many incredible memories. Regret leaving :(
Don't play the pieces so round, give it a tad of pointedness, really gives it some extra feeling. Nice start with the drumming, just no early sounding chanters, you should consider using tougher reeds to that end. It's just the overly rounded phrasing really pulls this down. Its just at certain points if you pull out over ornamentation, or play a particular note longer and cut another one, you can get a fantastic sound. Well done.

i dont know her name but i played with ye in the massed bands..i rememberd the way she played dawning of the day slow air on the day in red square while we wer all in the big circle.. an since then i just love the way she plays it..i keep clicking back to 3:17
