The producer-composer Waran Kruz has decompartmentalised Rap, Electro and Rai. His music and spectacular, impeccably photographed videos remind us of his native Algeria and carry the hopes of North African youth.
Influenced by the richness of Mediterranean cultures and landscapes, the oriental melodies of Rai (from Cheb Hasni to Raina Rai), the electro sounds of Deep House, Progressive, Tech house and synthwave; Waran plays with musical borders and goes where his nomadic heart takes him.
For this Oranese by birth (Algeria) and French-Canadian citizen based in Bordeaux but previously in Montreal, life is a series of stops on a 20-year musical pilgrimage that culminates today in his new 4-track EP, "DUALITY".
