Not an epic day, but the end of leg two of Africa to the Arctic, we’ve traveled 2,210 miles on this adventure so far and we expect it to be another 3,000 to 3,500 miles to get us up to Nord Capp in Norway.
We’ll be back to Geneva airport to continue in the autumn.

17th July ‘24 Today Ashley departs for home a d leaves Gold Finger at the airport, I head towards Châtel and visit the Devils Bridge, get pounded by freezing water and watch some seriously skilled mountain bikers.

16th July ‘24 Albertville to Les Gets, Morzine, Lac de Montriond, Les Lindarets to Thonon Les Bains. Another great day, we watched a bit of downhill mountain biking, had a nice lake swim, fed some goats and Ash enjoying fixing Gold Finger again 🤣

15th July ‘24 Day 16 Today we took the 8hp scoots up Alp d’Huez and over a couple of cols we only headed in the direction of the Arctic by a few miles as the main aim was to rest.

Sunday 14th July ‘24. France. A lovely ride from Saint-Julian-de-Beauchéne to the Grotte de Choranche in the Vercors Massif. Amazing visit to the Grotte and then take a swim in a nearby cave and waterfall this evening we stayed near Grenoble.

July 13th ‘24. A brilliant day, rode up Mt Ventoux (part off road), rode some lovely roads, took the scoots on a BMX track and got the front wheel airborne and then finished the day with a lovely swim in tropical water. France is fantastic 🇫🇷

Day 13 of this trip. Last night we did oil changes on the scooters before a 7am start heading North East past Montpellier towards Mount Ventoux, we covered 212 miles of a not particularly interesting part of France, that’s why we put the miles in today so we can have big smiles in the mountain tomorrow.

Day 12 of the trip and we leave the Iberian peninsula (Spain and Portugal) for France traveling over the Eastern shoulder of the Pyrenees. We found a stunning swimming spot and you’ll even learn 10 things about France 🇫🇷

9th July ‘24 we fly to Barcelona to hopefully continue our adventure on budget (and crap) £250 scooters towards the Arctic. Will the scooters still be at the airport 8 months after leaving them last year.

Day 6 and 7 have been very interesting! Paul put Adblue in his fuel tank, his kickstart broke and the brakes blew their tops on my scooter. We also had a race, watch to see which machine takes the podium!

My brother (Paul) and I are on a trip from Conwy in North Wales to Yunquera in southern Spain on 11hp bikes, Paul is on a 1980’s Yamaha RXS100, I am on another crap scooter also sporting 11hp.

The last day of this leg of the journey took us to an amazing view point over Barcelona. We then rode to the airport to say goodbye to our little scooters after 1,220 miles (1,952 km). They are now chained up and hopefully they will ready for the next leg in March 2024.

Today we had a very cold start and enjoyed some amazing roads in the mountains. We are staring in an incredibly beautiful olive mill this evening which really is the gem of a place.
