spackling the cracks won't work, that needs elastomeric caulk or you are going to get cracks. you can see cracks in the installed example.
Yeah.. doesn't seem anywhere near worth it to me.
Once it’s up and going it’s great 🤣
Just took off our winter cover about a week ago, used a simple garden pump$25 And a flexible hose and aimed it at the back of our yard near the alley. Everything started up fine. Stored the pump in our basement. the water was actually pretty clean, only needed a few bags of shock to get it ready to use.
If you need to hold your gun with both hands, sure. Otherwise, I see little benefit to this.
It’s about leverage, which is nice when you have big gaps
great video and quick fix A+
basic electronics cap calc
Yep
I have always mounted odd size caps on the horizontal, so they don't slide out of the strap. Sometimes I add a zip-tie for the same reason. If I make a bracket, then I leave the OEM one inside for the next time.
Thanks for the video. You did a nice job!
Ooofff. Take this video down dude.
Why
Brother that was rough to watch haha. A few things. First, keep an AmRad Turbo200 and Turbo200X on hand and avoid this entire thing. If you insist on using two caps, do a double band clamp. Instead of breaking the band off after the first cap, just secure the next cap with the remaining band. 1 strap, 2 caps, 3 screws. Now all the terminals are in line. Lastly, don't mount a cap upside down especially if it is an oil filled cap. There are a few reasons for this but here are two good ones: when that thing fails it's gonna make a mess. Most importantly, oil filled caps are never to be mounted upside down or horizontal because the oil will fill the top gas expansion void and part of the cell plating will be out of oil and exposed to air, leading to premature failure. But I digress.
@@HiTek3 I like the idea of using the same strap, I guess I just was thinking about somebody having to replace one of them in the future. But I have not heard about the capacitor being mounted upside down being an issue. I have seen a few manufacturers have capacitors from the factory mounted upside down or horizontal. More times than not it’s horizontal especially with blower capacitors
@@FixintobuildHave you tired math?
Thanks for the video - Did you use your jig saw to cut the 45 degree "V" in the top and bottom rails? I don't have the cocktail rail, I'm using the Trex Transcend system.
Yes I did cut the v myself
Win someone is driving you crazy 😅
😂😂😂😂 I no right 😂
😕 🤔 🤔 🤔
Lmao
Burnt contactor wires occur ten times more in flimsy European & original equipment contactors then far superior real deal ALLEN Bradley or Square D starters. I would remove the overload block on size 0, 1, & 2 starters to replace cheap contactors. They lasted at least 5 times longer. Should use a torque driver to set proper torque on every screw.
This is exactly what I needed. Thanks!
Model number for heating element please
Hey, Thank you! New carpet plus professional installation costs too much. I appreciate that you shared your project and advice.
Thank you very much for your video
Why no returns to go behind casing trim cover?
What's the part number for the heating element?
Which wire goes back where
You may wanna to pull that dryer back out! then clean all that lent from inside that dryer!🧯🔥📛
Thank you. My dryer dries again.

Where can I get that exact same heating element?

Where did you guy those black 45 degree mounts?
Trex dealer. I got them from lowes
Thanks for the help, I'm officially outta the doghouse
Trump 2024. This shitshow needs to end.👹😡
Does this work for turning an outside corner ?
why so fast? slow down
People tend to click on the short videos more lol
I'm having a hard time remembering where red and black cords go
I have the same problem but i’m stuck at the quarter round vertical cut stage, you skipped this part, can you you or explain how to do it ?
Two 45 degree cuts to make a straight 90 degree up and then 90 over again. Basically make an L. Does that make sense?
@@Fixintobuild and how do you cut it cause it make a small piece and with my mitter saw it’s impossible to cut a tiny peace like this without cuting my finger
@@xXsilencXx60 not impossible, you have to cut it off of a large piece
@@Fixintobuildof cut but for the part that is cut from two side, (the middle one) the first cut you can cut it from a large piece but how do you do for the second cut ?
@@xXsilencXx60 I may make a video on this, it’s not easy to describe
Thanks!
I have to say doing half the room at a time is genius!
Could you demonstrate how to tie in 2 different size quarter round pieces to make it look a close as possible as being seamless?
This info is in the service facts. They don’t make it known. I stumbled upon it. Just like them shutting down around -3F causing blower to run continuously, customer complaints.
American Standard like most manufacturers like to do things to make their units appear more efficient. Just like their units weren’t really “14” seer!
Definitely like. Question I have to make an outside corner where the floor transitions, any video on that case. Thank you
On other boards theres a pin where you can set how long the defrost cycle will run
Yeah, more content!

The problems i see with your " pro tips " are your alignment mark suggest you are the first tech removing it, just make sure its centered, new motor always gets a new cap, and as far as wheels l always recommend them, inevitably they fail shortly after, i explained this to the customer and let them make the decision, saves me a call back down the road (cause you know they'll blame ya)
I must have missed all the pro tips. How does your marker help you balance the wheel? Why are you balancing the wheel? Most pros set the wheel in the middle, tighten the screw and go. Not to balance but for clearance. Definitely kudos to you for putting a video out to help a simple blower job. No need to lie about pro tips. Real pro tip: explain to the customer they should order a new wheel with the blower motor, there is a chance the wheel will become unbalanced and warped during removal. Rarely are we replacing a motor with a nice clean shaft.
So is your real pro tip for salesmen or techs? A whole new blower wheel is completely unnecessary in most cases , and if you don’t balance that wheel properly it’s going to be extremely noisy and it’s going to shake. Our job as techs is to help home owners get heat again and fix it properly. Not sell them parts
@Fixintobuild you don't think we should make our clients aware of risks involved and how deep this could go? My problem, super small and nbd, is I didn't hear and pro tip, and im missing where you balance anything? Weights are sometimes added from factory for balance. You placing the wheel on the shaft and aligning it is for clearance not balance. Not problem, but confused: where are you doing any balancing of the wheel? And where are the pro tips?

Start working on cars or anything mechanical. That will boost your field skills and make you look good to an employer.

Is underlayment needed when flooring over a concrete slab?
100% depends on manufacturer, but typically no
So much better that most of do.😅
Throw the main breaker!…hope the panel is above the water!😮😅
You should call a licensed person to repair this. This is what the licensed repair person would do, as illustrated in the above video: 1. UNPLUG THE THING SO YOU DON'T SHOCK YOURSELF. That's a 220 outlet and will kill you. 2. Remove vent hose (big tube coming off the back). 3. Remove screw and cover from electrical box (located immediately above the power cable). 4. Remove hex screws to detach power supply (aka power cord) and ground wire. 5. Remove back cover (there are a large number of screws around the perimeter of the back of the dryer). 6. Remove terminal block screws (the power supply attached to this). 7. Unplug heating element and limit switches (red wires, white plugs, on the bottom). 8. Remove heating element compartment cover screws (the compartment cover is the long section on the left side of the dryer). 9. Pull out the tube holding the heating element. 10. Remove 1 screw and slide heating element out of its housing. 11. Check the element with a multimeter or by visual inspection (the coil should be fully connected all the way along; if there's a gap/break, you need to replace it). 12. Put it all back together.
Is that not what I did? 🤔
@@FixintobuildThat's exactly what you did. The consensus below was to slow down the video and I just listed out the steps.
@@tuckercase2449 I see, thanks for the clarification
@@Fixintobuild Damned good steps, by the way. I'll likely be doing this same job sometime this weekend unless the friggin' thing just magically heals itself.

Shark bite time
Just rifled through removing the heating element. That would go a long way if you show how to remove it It appears I need to remove the entire drum to get access ..?
Watch the video again and slow it down if you have to. There’s only a pipe and one screw holding it on
You'll want to slow down the video to catch this. I think I'll list the steps in a separate comment.
