After getting Transformation cogs, Jazz and the other ex-miners quickly applied/enrolled on their dream jobs since they are free to choose their own paths. Jazz decided to enroll for the Elite Guard and began to study for the upcoming entrance exam, he also joined Yoketrons Cyber-Ninja Dojo as a way to learn self-defense to help Optimus capture the remaining Sentinel followers who are now categorized as traitors of Cybertron.

Despite all his studying, and passing the bar exam, Jazz decided to drop out during his last semester to pursue his one true love..... competitive breakdancing. This especially ticked off his friend, who worked especially hard just to make it into the police academy.
