Making a house our home on one acre of land in beautiful South Texas. Most people spend money on their hobbies, ours just happens to be home improvement. We hope this channel inspires and encourages others.
DIY Kitchen Shelves Timelapse
A timelapse video where we show you how we took down our kitchen cabinets and replaced with open shelves. This was a fun project and was tackled over a weekend.
----
Shelves were made from standard pine common boards from any local box store. Ours measured 24" length, 3.5" width, 10"depth. The stain we used is Minwax Golden Oak.

We built a BACKYARD PATIO
Просмотров 708 тыс.4 года назад
In this video we chronicle, from start to finish, our backyard patio project. FAQs: 1) Is the patio roof flat or sloped? The roof is sloped 6in from the house to the edge of the patio. This is the lowest possible slope in accordance with building codes in our area. Though not shown in the video we install 6in flashing where the patio roof meets the fascia. 2) Why didn't you show how you wrapped...
What material did you use Pressure treated wood, ok to use ? No paint needed? Termites will not destroy it?? Lmk please Ty
So your two post are just sitting on the concrete? That’s what I would like to do, but I keep being told I can’t because of the frost? How’s yours holding up
Love it... I am definitely going to use your video to build mine. Great job fam
Look good I like the you build porch my name is chuck
That came out great. I’m wondering however, how the rain skirts off that roof looking so level?
2 minutes of building 12 minutes of non sense filming
What is the size of the patio and over hang
Great job, brother!! I am starting my project this weekend.
Tbis needs to be tied into your roof.. you will have problem with water
Where did you find it the stone
I know this was years back but how much did you spend on material?
Love how this turned out!
Hi, great video, how tall did you make your columns? TIA
Where’s the concrete pour or form build
That's your backyard? damn
Looks great! Is it OK though to set wood directly on concrete without it being treated lumber?
Be sure to check the coding on the pallets to be sure you want to use them in landscaping.
Good job jimmy…perhaps you should have flashed the ledger board with Z flash
Yes!!! great job learned from this video. My question is would you need to put a sealer?
God bless you brother. Enjoy your videos and hope you post new ones up. Blessings.
Do you get a waterfall where the metal roof meets the house?
What is the acid for?
Pressure treat on concrete always when doing construction,it will unfortunately decay in a very fast amount of time like 5-8 year but all in all it looks beautiful
Looks great, thanks for sharing
What size is the cross beam ? Same size as the posts ?
I want to do it all the way up. Any suggestions or just keep going all the way upnto the ceiling??
Nice job, and the burritos looked delish!
Great idea
Must not get much snow there? Nice work
Did you angle the roof so the water didn't run back towards the house, or have you not found that to be an issue? Thank you!
Beautiful job very helpful
Could you replicate this for my mom's house? Harlingen area close to Lowe's. Just tell me a price and I'll talk to my dad. I've been looking at videos for weeks and none are as impressive as this.
Turn out FANTASTIC! Planning similar projects, doing some research. Couple of questions: 1. Why didn’t you put weep holes in your masonry ? How the water will be escaping that porous stone? 2. Why didn’t you put membrane on top of cement board? Like in the shower stall or when cladding houses or building outdoor kitchen before facing with stones. 3. Why did you secured 2x4 in the center. Wouldn’t corners make more sense for install of cement board? Thank you in advance to anybody who can answer those questions. I never did any stone work so am a tad apprehensive not to mess up 😂
what were the deninsions of the beams, raptor wood and there spacing between each other
Does metal roof without insulation makes it hot to prevent going to patio?
as a mason ur bad at this but if you have never done it before it looks great
How did you do the stone wrap around? That came out great! Whole thing looks excellent
Didn’t show anything
Beautiful bro
Hello from Santa Ana California me antojaron the tacos
What type of flashing did you use?
Looks amazing
What did you do flashing-wise on the transition from the roof of the house to the porch sheets? It seems like I can see something at 13:41 but would like to know what you did for reference?
Very nice!
What would you say would be a good estimate on the budget?
How much did You spend in total been wanting to build one
Did a great job looks good bro
parece que eres paisa, si hablas espanol felicitaciones se ven hermosas
How did you finish the tops?
It looks awesome. How is it holding 3 years after? Where I live the county would not let me get that close to the soffit, go figure. But I'm building something similar, just half of that size.
