I took many factors in terms of buying first camera based on type of photography you are interested in to all rounder that you can shot anything. Key factor for me was to search for cameras that are good for first camera to learn but also not block you in future.

One question: after transferring pics from camera to iPad my pics have 2MPix size. And it doesn’t matter if I did them on FINE or NORMAL mode. What im doing wrong?
@@cruzzzer2007 If wirelessly I guess that is the limit and iPad compress them I had same situation with iPhone and Sony camera
🙂👍

Your photos look so great! Really film like! Especially at 2:26. Do you do any post processing to the photographs to get the high dynamic range and that filmic rugged look?
Hi thank you. On that one is my self made preset on capture one for Fuji that I created as felt this is mood works for me but I have basically few presets for everyday life that I created for myself :) and if job is larger scale I work with profesional retouch studio.
Great review, thank you. I have this camera from new and still love it. It’s small, light, easy to use just like my old Nikon F2, and I can get some gorgeous images on it. As you say, for faster auto focus, I use my Sony but the Fuji definitely has a character that I find very attractive.
Totally agree!
what recipe do you use?
@@us3rld I don’t I develop it in capture one.
Pardon me for asking... I recently started to shoot a couple of local ultra running events during my down time... I noticed that I'll be having trouble if the run was during noon/mid day and my pictures were severely overexposed. What filter I can use to overcome this or is it enough with just adjusting exposure compensation on playing around with shutter speed. Thank you in advance for your answer.
@@tabrizihussin4784 you are not precise here if you shot video or photo but I guess you mean video as in photo u can compensate it with shutter times. In video variable nd filter should do a job depends how bright it is usually 2-5 stop one works well eventually you can close a little bit aperture and it should be fine. I know people on RUclips say you should shot wide open but that is not true. Key is to have good frame and not always blurry background. :)
@@Smamaj Thank you very much for your quick reply... Sorry for not being precise.. I mainly shoot photos but occasionally shoot video every now & then... Thank you again...
You are such a nice guy! And I love the photos you showcased in this video. I am wondering if I should go to the X T-1 or X T-10. I guess I can get 1 extra lens with the extra money hehe
as far i know x-t1 is water resistant if you need that I guess it is better option but if you dont need it I would stick with xt10 :) I did use mine in pretty rough conditions ever is not water resistant and still works.
I lost my X20 in Japan while we were in Osaka. I was guttered since we just came from Kyoto - all those photos with my parents all gone 😭 Got an X70 but still miss my X20
Sorry to hear it :( it is great camera!
I do not like very clear and sharp images like Sony gets, it does not capture the creative look. So this camera is just for me :)
Yay :)
Buy a light
? ;)
Had this camera since 2017 and it was great. Does film simulation recipes work in this kind of camera?
not as in newer models but i usually edit raws anyway then i dont really bother about that part
I have the Fuji XT10 on my Nikon D5500 as a picture profile.
Nice!
what lens do you use with this? what’s the price?
Kit lens 16-55 if I remember right 2.8-4 is good enough for everyday use.
Thank you for the suggestions. I really only take photos when I travel and I have had the FujiX30 for 10 years now and I love that little camera, but I am thinking about upgrading. I also have an iPhone 14 Pro which I find myself using a lot more for street/travel photos. But I am looking to do some more nature trips and I want to be able to capture the landscapes better. I have thought about upgrading to the Fuji X100 series, whatever I can afford, but sometimes the zoom extent frustrates me so I am looking around at other options too.
hi can i know where to get this camera? Been looking everywhere but to no avail. From Malaysia 🙂
Oh don’t know market in Malaysia I guess Ebay can be best option?
@@Smamaj Yea I found a few on ebay international but not sure if it's reliable. But thanks for your reply! =)

What lens do you have on the Camera for everyday use? I'm thinking of getting this camera....18-55mm lens?.. 😊
Yes 18-55 :) and works very well!
what would you think is a reasonable price for a camera like this in good conditions, including a Hoya 18-55mm F2.8-4? Thanks for the nice video!!
I payed for mine around 350 euros with the lens but I see Fuji old cameras getting higher in value lately but I would try as cheap possible.
Got me an X-T10 a few years back as a small everyday camera. Went full Fujifilm in two years 😊
Haha nice, acually I was shoting one commercial two week ago on fuji gfx 100ii and I loved it 🥰
Been using X-T10 since 2016 and pretty happy with it. I have 35mm f2 to use when cycling, but mostly I use the kit 18-55mm f2.8-4 for travel and everyday usage. The AF performance is a bit lacking, though, very noticeable when I shoot others while cycling. I always use Classic Chrome, very beautiful colors.
Yes it is true that af is not fastest. It works ok but if you compare to any modern camera it is pretty slow :)
thank you for the review!
Thank you, enjoyed the video, music and story 🙏👏👏
🙌
Great review , as usual, Seb 👏🙏
🙏
Sebastian, thanks for video as a beginner much appreciated.
no problem :) I hope it helped :)
Does the X-T10 have manual control of the video settings or the ISO is auto as some old fuji cameras? I have the X-E1, really amazing for shots, it produces really gorgeous images, but the ISO in video settings is AUTO and unfortunately you can't control it. I'm thinking of buying the X-T10 to see how this magic sensor performs with video. Great channel, Sebastian. Just keep doing this good work.
thank you! I just checked I can control iso and exposure manually no problem. I am not sure if there is log profile but :) as it is not priority for me it is ok without log.

considerin to buy this camera, the cheaper version of x-t1, but the result looks too much noise
Sensor in x-t1 and this is the same. I add some grain also to it then could be it. I don’t like clean look is not my style of work then :) I make it bit dirty. Probably best to check reviews where people show clean images as I don’t do that and my reviews are more based on usability not on technical aspects coz I believe every camera right now produces amazing photos it up from us what we do with them later.
Sony A7iii I totally worth it great price high quality and you can spend the extra money on better lens than the kit
Exactly!
Hi Sebastian Great review what lens are you using on the X T10 some really nice shots keep up the great work
Than u! 18-55 if I remember it correctly 2.8-4. I consider to review it as it is very nice lens
@@Smamaj you definitely need to do a review on it
Świetny film.
Dzięki!
I love this camera. I have been using this since 2016. I just wished that it came with a weather sealing like my XT3.
Oh that would be amazing
Get an X-T1 instead if you need weather resistance. It's basically the same camera, but bigger and with WR.
@ if I ll see any very cheap probsbly I ll get one :)
I enjoyed this review thanks man
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks! :)
Seb if I want a Go pro camera for my running, which affordable camera would you suggest me? Thanks a lot! 🙏
Very depends I have osmo action and it works for me but I wouldn’t say I am expert in GoPro field. I was editing footage from Kilian’s GoPro 11 and looked very nice.
@@Smamaj thank you very much, Seb, will look into these 2 models then 🙏
Very well pointed, you're doing an amazing job on photography and especially on video side too, Seb! 🙏
Thank you Gabriel!
That’s good review! I got my x20 a decade ago and I never use it for a very long time after i got a Sony camera (which has a sharper lens and faster auto focus). I’m glad that i still kept my Fujifilm X20! I love the SR+ mode, it’s super convenient and quick, I don’t need to think too much on the settings, I just click, and most of the time i can capture more natural moments. I guess the imperfection of the camera and not overthinking makes it more natural.. whenever i see sharp and over edited photos, Im always thinking of what type of camera did he used? what settings, etc. But from older cameras, I just feel the moment when it was captured.
Main issue with sharp images this days they lost soul. I feel it is so crisp and sharp all colors and everything that is almost like plastic surgery in photography. It just feels fake.
what type of sony camera you use? is it worth it?
X-S10, X-H2 and X-H2s is not vintage. XT5 is a bit vintage. X100V and X-Pro 4 is really vintage.
well not sure what you mean with this comment. I didnt mention any of this cameras ;-) and I think vintage and vintage look are bit different terms. In this I mean vintage by age of camera itself , when it was produced.
@@Smamaj You are right. I wanted to say that, for me, a true vintage has to be rangefinders. But any camera that has the same design as old cameras can be considered vintage. Except the X-S10, X-H2 and X-H2s. These look like DSLRs. If you compare all vintage cameras, the Nikon Zf is the best value for money. Because it has a fullframe sensor and costs the same price as a Fujifilm that has an APSC sensor. Now, if Fujifilm releases an updated replacement for the X100V or the X-Pro 3, I would prefer it because I think the Rangefinder camera is beautiful. I think the Fujifilm X100V Silver is the most beautiful camera. However, it needs IBIS and an interchangeable lens like the X-Pro.
@@michelecintramika8482 ahh yes :) in that case it is style choice but in my case I meant :) the age. Like Nikon d100 even it has normal design is still vintage already with 6mpx sensor etc.
@@Smamaj 👍🏼
Nice review man!
Thanks!
You did this? This is neat! Nice job!
Yes! Let year ;) Thank you!
Sebastian, thanks for such a cool review! Awesome results 😃
Glad you liked it!
hello ! where did you get under 1000 dollars, im in europe and the sony A7 3 is at 1700 dollars... everywhere
Used market I saw it few times for this price and I think if you can get it for this price is worth investment. :)
@@Smamaj Alright mate thanks a lot ! Yeah in France not under 1500 EUR but I will get it for sure I think it’s the best investment I can do ! 😌
@@leolam8904 yes it is great camera if you up for some filming. If photo is your priority I ll also recommend Fuji system as they are smaller and got lovely colors!
@@Smamaj alright, yeah it’s mainly for photos but I like the fact that’s the A7 lll is versatile so I could make some trip films etc..
@@leolam8904 agree with that!
Hi Sebastian, great video. I just discovered your channel. Keep up the good work. May I ask which camera are you using for video? Are you also using a fujifilm camera for the talking head shots in your video? Thank you Sebastian.
Thank u, for talking head I use Sony a7siii. For my professional work depends of assignment I use Sony a7siii for video sometimes if I have second operator we use also blackmagic 6k. For photography I mainly use Sony a7iii but for my everyday life and some commercial photos I use Fujifilm. But in direction I am going with future project I highly consider to switch to Fuji in terms of photography and keep Sony for video only but we ll see :) if I ll make this decision it ll not be this year but maybe 25. I don’t change systems to often and I try to work as much as possible on what I have.
@@Smamaj thank you Sebastian for the reply. All of the cameras you mentioned are excellent. I wish you all the best with your channel and career. I’m looking forward to your next video. Again, thank you.
thank you :) I ll try add one video per week from this year and start second chanel more about living in the north :) as I believe both are not related to each other and I dont want to make people confused. @@cubax26
Sebastian, I look forward to one video per week. Also, giving your audience an insight to living in the North sounds interesting. Thank you.
Enjoyed that. Encouraged me to look at your other productions. And. I found the review really down to earth and sensible.
Thank you! I try my best show camera it self and I highly believe we don’t need newest gear to create quality work.
@@Smamaj older gear was the newest gear in its time. I often said how great photography was carried out on the stuff we now think is old. I really enjoy it when someone like you comes out and makes this point.

Ive had this camera since 2014, its one of the favorite things in my life. I have been thinking sbout upgrading into s lens system but keeping it simple like x20
Yes for factor is just amazing in that one.
Loved the review. I'm looking for a good choice for my first camera, and this video was super helpful, thank you!
No problem :) enjoy your first camera!
Sztosik, uźywałeś gimbala czy wszystko z ręki?
Ręka :) jakoś gimbal zabija moim zdaniem życie. Tzn czasem pasuje jak jest rower itp ale w bieganiu wolę rękę
Not sure if I watched them all but it’s best film I’ve seen in your portfolio. Stunning. Thanks for sharing it.
Dzieki :)
Great work!
Thanks!
How do you manually focus this camera?
You can switch to manual focus then you focus with the wheel on the body more less based on meters. But to be honest i never use manual focus on that one as it is not the easiest way to focus better to use zone focus or something.
@@Smamaj just found out how to manual focus via the wheel on the rear of the camera !! Terrible function….. I’ll not be using that
@@simonrhys yes as I said it is not best solution but I think this is exactly how Ricoh GRiii foucs on manual mode I assume that is only option they could use in the systems without focus wheel. But agree better to use AF.
XT10 is an amazing compact every day camera. It has my favourite sensor the X Trans 2 and can produce "filmic" Jpegs straight out the camera. Can use the amazing fuji lens on it, i personally pair it with the pancake xf 27mm to make it my best companion
I want to get 27mm seem like perfect combo without taking to much space
