Capturing the Netherlands with my GoPro…

I tested the GoPro HERO 13 for it's cinematic capabilities [4K]
Since GoPro released the Hero 13 at the end of this summer, I took in out of a couple of tests. I'm quite impressed by the color grading capabilities with the LOG setting. I graded and edited the video in Davinci Resolve.

I shot this video with the new GoPro Hero 13 on a Dutch island called Ameland. It has a beautiful lighthouse called "De Amelander" that is surrounded by trees, It was a very cloudy day, so the image got very flat. I spend a weekend at Terschelling. A small island in the Wadden-sea (the Netherlands). I found this place near West-Terschelling that has a beautiful sunrise. gopros video quality is insane compared to other action cams
Their quality is great. I hope they improve the low light performance of the camera in the next release.
@shot_by_niels i don't use my gopro in low light it's always daytime where the action mostly happens but it will be a good add on in the future but not really looking forward to it i wluld rather have a much longer battery life for lole 3-4 hrs with less overheating
¿Davinci resolve for color effects?. Show your setting please.
Colouring is not just a simple trick that I can show with a screenshot. There are a lot of Resolve tutorials on the web. You can take a course about colors and colorgrading to really understand where grading is about. About my node tree, I start with a denoiser, then a couple of nodes with color adjustments. I end with a sharpen node and final a CST node to convert the colors to REC709 with a 2.2 gamma. Good luck!

how to set up your gopro hero13
Depends on the conditions of the environment. Learn the functions of you gopro from top to bottom. Learn about shutterspeed, ISO and exposure. The best advise I can give you is to keep your ISO as low as possible to avoid a noisy image. A good looking image is not about settings but about composition and lighting. Good luck!

dji action 5 pro is so saturated i have both but i use my gopro alot
You gave me chills. I would also like to make films with it. I imagine you use the anamorphic lens? Are you satisfied with the ease of use? I'm still very hesitant with the Action 5 Pro.
Thanks! I don't have the anamorphic lens yet. I will buy it when it comes out. I always try to get some cinematic motion blur, so using a low shutter with the help of ND filters gives this nice cinema look to your videos.

I can't believe Gopro still exists. The volume of failures and dissatisfied customers would leave most companies broken. Their subscriptions and add-ons is what fuels their PR and marketing to sell new models. It's like a ponzi scheme

Premiere Pro 2022 crashes after intalling GoPro FX Reframe. Only open again after I erase the GoPro FX Reframe plug in (Macintosh HD/ Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore) Any solutions?

Hi man, can you give a link to download max exporter? in microsoft store its no longer available :( and i need batch export files from gopro max, but gopro player can export only 1 file at the same time. PLS help)
