Can you use replica Ammunition shells for movie making? Like, loading the gun & reloading the cambers

Just purchased a steel repro M35 Helmet which I will not be throwing around on the ground like that lol. I am planning on having it chrome coated for more of a outlaw biker look.

I do not know why they are so collectable. They are not cool or clever, it is just a tin pot.

Where did you get this shell ? The shape looks so perfect, 100% fitting with an original one ! Copies from china or pakistan are not so well made !

Since I’m an American and I have the right to manufacture a firearm, I’m thinking I could probably take it to a gunsmith and get it into working condition so I could use it to fire blanks?

You don’t want to give away any secrets? Who do you think you are? You look about 10 years old most people in the collection community know how to age Helmets and everybody in the reenacting hobby could do a much better job so get yourself a life little boy.

7 years late but just wanted to say, nothing some files, epoxy and leverage can't fix! Would be nice though if they took some pride in the product or even looked it over. But still much cheaper than deactivated.

You want an original helmet to look as new as possible. You want a repro to look as used as possible.

I would love to get one even if it's not an original.

The shell is original, why did you treated it like that?

Looks like your helmet was once a grave marker due to the small hole in the top where it was nailed to the top of a wooden cross.

Thanks for the great review, this saves me some frustration. I already got a Denix StG44 for a cosplay and it's fine for that purpose. Recently I inherited a sizable collection of blades (swords and knives), among them an original Kar98 bayonet, and I was considering adding a Denix replica to display with it (hanging the rifle on the wall with the bayonet mounted). I guess I can still do this, but hang the bayonet below the rifle, not fixed to it.

Aging an original shell and rusting it intentionally is so dumb. You have further degraded the shell.

So it seems like the cleaning rod is out for your rifle so might so does the bayonet finally fit into the rifle. Or if it doesn't would it be possible to change the bayonet lug at the first place

What type glue do you use to affix the decal? “Elmers” white glue or similar white glue? Or, …?
