What mulcher model are you running?

Did you do any special to the SVL75-3 to make it forestry muncher capable or it's all stock with the mulched attachment?

I had a 2020 SVL95-2 running an FAE head, worst machine I’ve ever had. They made some improvements for sure but I see you’re fighting with the “trash funnels” at the lift arms and the dirt leaking through the corners of the door. My SVL95 was so loud I had to wear hearing protection and I choked on the dust constantly because it wasn’t a one piece cab. It had a multitude of other poor designs that appear to have been addressed so no point in talking about it. I switched to Cat 299D3 Land Management and aside from the front door, which has been addressed with their resent model update, it was so superior in every way I would never consider a Kubota to run a mulcher. The only drawback to the Cat was cab space, which again they have improved. I’m 6’1 200lbs and I was snug in there, no room to stretch my legs around but it forced me to get out of the cab to move around which actually felt better at the end of the day. The Cat Land Management was perfectly balanced to the mulcher head so it didn’t tip forward on an incline but all the added weight made is useless for anything residential or landscaping. I’ve ran a GEHL, ASV 120 and a Bobcat with the mulcher head and all had their good points, but nothing compared to the the Cat for long days in the seat bouncing over rocks, ruts and wood debris in road ditches and cattle pastures. Mine is 150 hours, got the same position rear scratch on the back door. Let me ask you this, how to get water out of the floor under the machine?

scag is by far da best. just don't buy scag 30 in sfc it's junk they got me on it bc I always use scag for years but that 30 is junk

Respectfully, the engine design has absolutely nothing to do with Scag. Your complaint is more so with Kawasaki than Scag.

Finally Kubota is following bobcat setup on ease of maintenance, Bobcat has max control which is awesome, remote control a machine from outside making life a dream

When you become an operator you will use the accelerator as it is intended. Figure out why it is the way it is and you might really like it. And yes I have owned and run that same setup, mostly bigger machines for decades. You'll get it.

Have the v ride 48 with 350 hours on it have gone through 2 deck belts lol but a beast of a mower love it

Looking at the 75-3 as well w a Loftness Battle Ax. High flow will be critical for this. Which Loftness are you running? Love to know bc I don’t want a mulcher that is too much for the 75-3. Last question, how is it for grading? I’ve got several acres to grade / landscaping here in VA. Our farm is on a mtn - small mtn - it’s VA not Colorado. Love to get your thoughts on grading w the 75-3. Like you the 97-2 is out of budget. Great review. Thank you.

Kawasaki seems to do that regularly. I have the FV691 on my Ariens, same problem. Bought aftermarket 12” drain hose to replace it (heavy duty sheathed with metal fittings) since the Ariens doesn’t even have a hole in the engine platform to drain the oil. I need to look at your solution for my Patriot as oil service is coming up.

Where did you get the circle decal stickers?

This is the exact scag I'm looking at getting rid of my Hustler for. Looking at a rear discharge possibly.

Extra hydraulic hoses . Long pry bar and jack just incase a track comes off .

Hello, have you ran a newer JD 325g ? How would this machine compare?

I believe that under the arm where the pile of debris is acomulating , it's a plate cover that can be removed for cleaning.

Loved you waxed it, always take care of your equipment.

Nice video, I have tons of questions.... is this your first forestry mulcher machine? I came from your other video of your review, and you mentioned you ran a few other brands. What made you pick the 75-3 over the 97 to run a mulcher? Drum vs Disk Mulcher? How big of trees "diameter" are you taking down max with that 75? How much diesel does the 75 use in a typical 8 hour day mulching in your experience? You also mentioned you break teeth, what is your cost per hour are you figuring running that exact machine. Figuring in teeth, diesel, and also tracks that last in the 1000 hour range? With a new set around $3k. Track cost alone would range around $3 dollars per hour.
