The end of an Era. Today's Anchors do not have the same Star Power and Journalism excellence as Douglas Edwards, Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, Diane Sawyer, Mike Wallace, Lesley Stahl, Ed Bradley, Roger Mudd, Marlene Sanders, I'm not saying that I do not like Nora O'Donnell. I just would not have put her in the anchor chair. I do like Women anchors. But they have to meet a certain criteria with me. Women Newscasters of today are not all seasoned, like in the old days. Marya McLaughlin. Sylvia Chase, Nancy Dickerson, Martha Teichner, Susan Spencer, Liz Trotta, Rita Flynn, Linda Douglass. 😊

Basically, the 1987 and 2011 themes are similar.

2011-16 theme was when I was in Dad’s bedroom, watching the news and especially “On the Road.” It was a very heartwarming tune, especially after the ending story (which was usually heartwarming or emotional.)

I'm forever a fan of the 1991 theme, but it is striking how many times CBS has brought the 1987 theme back.

lol when I first saw this on my tv I thought the tv was broken! Like the shading was off! Lol thank god it’s not the case!
