@@supleh5937 Yeah, and they can be superguarded. 😅 I superguarded every red bump in my fight with him.
You can also keep some Life Shrooms handy. Whacka will use all the bumps to attack in one turn so if you die in the middle of the attack, he will waste the remaining bumps.

Because it's attack, especially with the red bumps, is massive.

I think he's coded to heal right off the bat and then only have a small chance of healing.

Personally I find the more casual runs to add an unnecessary amount of time to a playthrough since you're kinda forced to fight every enemy encounter if you're upgrading stats evenly. BP only runs make the most sense because of how easily you can break the game with the badge system.
I think I beat the game with only 30
tbh 25 hp is all you need with the right badges. Even just 5 hp is good enough if you know what you're doing

I haven`t had that happen to me but I am playing file 2 and after awhile like in the forest in the secret area I get the Chest and the final Light Dew and battle a group of Light creatures and when the team does a pose at the end where they get XPs the game shuts off with a black screen saying an error has occurred and I am taken to the main menu or rather home page of when you turn on the Switch and chose the game you want to play
