A "bit sore" hurts for a "little while" my god, I got the cane on more than one occasion and that is so disingenuous, it hurts a absolute truck load, it is agony and it hurts much longer than a "little while" and the marks can last for weeks after. Don't underplay it just because you dislike other forms of punishment.
