Featuring my own original music (by POOKiE, link below), this is my diary from a cross border solo hike I did over Easter in 2024 in the beautiful Krkonoše Mountains aka "Giant Mountains" on the border of the Czech Republic and Poland. This was by far the cheapest and most environmentally way to get into Poland from the Czech Republic :)

MENORCA, Spain in Spring? Is it worth it?
The apparently sre arguing
Yeah, they were at it for a good while before finally jumping at each other's throats. 🙀
In Mata dos Medos u have two spots to make picnics
How jelous I am, one of my dreams is to go to Açores Azores is in the intersecion of 3 tectonic plakes, African, European and American. The islands of Flores and Corvo are in the American plake.
Thanks for watching! Yes, what an amazing place! We were so lucky to have been able to visit there. And yeah, we'd love to see the other islands in the archipelago too! It's such a hiker's paradise! And the people are super friendly. We'll definitely be back!! Hope you get to visit there too.
The portuguese blue coast is amazing, and a good spot to eat and drink Capuchos church have a beautiful pointview to Caparica beaches with a chapel made with sea shells In Azeitão, a lovely villages with lotes of palaces full with tiles, u have teh Moscatel wine and the creamy cheeese, and the sweets. In Sesimbra and Setubal the best fish, shellfish and sea food of the world. And in Caparica the most gay nude beach of Portugal, the 19th beach (the number of the litle beach train that conects Costa da Caparica to Fonte da Telha).
You're very familiar with the area! Are you from there? We really appreciate all the details you've provided. We did have the best fish in Sesimbra. Setubal impressed us too! We'd love to see the other places you mentioned too as we love the less known spots and little gems like that! Many thanks 🙂
@@pookie-pato i born in Lisbon but i bought house in Caparica in 2000. U have such a beautiful quiet and breath taking places in Portugal so diferent. My family are from the mountains and i love it. Love tradicional places, historical villages and amazing viewpoints. And good food and wine and clean air. And Portugal have lots of it.
@@gtagide wow... lucky you! My brother has lived in Almada (and has previously lived in Lisbon) for quite a few years now, so Portugal is always on the list of places I want to explore more. It's definitely one of my favourite countries. It's just a pity that so much of the local population suffer due to high rents and lack of affordable housing in the Lisbon area. I hope the benefits of the increased tourist activity will eventually benefit the regular Portuguese citizen!
@@pookie-pato the tourism bang in Portugal gave us more profict and employes, but with our lower salaries the rise of cost of living, specially the rents of houses are unberable for most of us that hern 800 euros month, and have to pay in Almada rents betwen 1200 to 1500 euros month. Imagine in Lisbon, Porto or Algarve . Like in every country the rich are more rich, and the poor more poor. Always the sames get profits...
@@gtagide I know, it's totally unsustainable! The cost of living is spiralling out of control, and the tourism boom doesn't seem to help much to offset those extra expenses. If only the salaries could go up!
Hello there, nice hiking trip! Did you get to swim a little or was it too cold for it?
Hi there! Thanks for watching! Yeah, it was a fantastic trip. And we sure did end up in the water. It was just too tempting. I have to say it was nice. Definitely not frigid, haha! I'd say it was warmer than the water you get in Portugal even in the height of the summer/autumn. This video shows one of the beaches we swam off last spring: ruclips.net/video/WFzkVQYIRYg/видео.htmlsi=eFvD128L8q27yH1j
Awesome video! And The scenery is beautiful 😍👍 great work my friend 🔥
Heeeeej Koziołku ❤️⚓ Pięknie sfilmowane i super opowiedziana historia... Brawooo... ❤⚓😬
Fantastic filming and storytelling my friend!
what a beautiful chalet🎻
🤩
Gorgeous lonely beach.. I didn't go to this beach when I was in Lisbon but if I remember correctly the ocean is quite cold in those parts 🥶😅🤗
Yeah, the water is quite cold, but funnily enough when the ocean is full of waves, it actually feels quite optimal. However, on days when the water is still, that's when it hits you just how cold the water is. It's still a great place to relax. The other smaller coves and beaches were just too crowded for our liking :) 😬🫣
Theyre back! Just started watching and already love the music!!! So good!!! XXXXXXX (That "booo" LMAO!)
Awww thank you for tuning in again 💙❤💕
Interested for the floow up re: the poverty over there - heard about it in Spain plenty!

Which camera did you use for shooting? Quite nice pictures.
Hiya, thanks for watching. It's Insta360 x3 and also my iPhone 11 Pro Max. 🙂

@@branislavbosak that's really cool, thanks! 🙏 🙂
Beautiful island!!! You guys are hilarious!
It is beautiful indeed 😀😍! Thank YOU for watching ☺️☺️! We are back in Portugal this week; this time the mainland: Lisbon / Almada. We're hoping to film in locations which offer a nice alternative to the well-known 'mass tourism' spots. Tune in again sometime soon 🙃🙏!
As a Slovak my opinion might be biased but I've been to Himalayas (in both Tibet and Nepal), Patagonia (in both Argentina and Chile), Peruvian Andes, Rockies, Tyrolean Alps, Dolomites... and you can't deny the imposing, sometimes even otherworldly and surreal beauty of these places. But High Tatras, despite being smaller have a different kind of charm, more like postcard-type beauty. I'm glad you liked the trip.
Totally agree with you! And wow, your list looks impressive!! 😯! The length of the Andes and the Dolomites are definitely on our list, but yeah, the High Tatras are just special! Tatry Zapadne & Belianske, too! It's just such a beautiful ecosystem right in the centre of Europe. It's hard to put into a category or even make comparisons. The Tatras are in a category of their own! Funnily enough, I'm not that drawn to the Himalayas. I'd rather explore the hiking trails of Spain, Romania and Croatia first. However, we'll always be returning to the Tatras, and the Slovakian part is one we have yet to explore more. I'm jealous you're from there! All the best!
@@pookie-patoThanks. If I may recommend another place it would be Slovenian (not Slovakian) Triglav national park in the Julian Alps. If you're heading to Croatia, Slovenia is just across the border and it might be worth a small detour.
@@baze3SC Excellent!! Thanks for the recommendation! Much appreciated 🙂
Hello. I am an expat living in Poznan. Is there a group of people here in Poland where I can join and experience the beautiful scenery of Tatra Mointains? Rhanks 🙂
Hi, thanks for watching! Yeah, well, there are groups you can find on Instagram. One such group is led by a Tatra Mountain guide, Maja. She is based in Zakopane, and she frequently organises and leads hiking trips in the Tatras (although they're not free of charge). You could try contacting her: instagram.com/maja_przewodnik?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Alternatively, you could also ask via this Instagram account: instagram.com/aktualne_warunki_tatry?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Best wishes!! Poznań is a lovely city!
Hi, this is another company which organises tours and group trips in the Tatras: instagram.com/portaltatrzanski?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
There are tea plantation in Sochi Russia
Thanks! Good to know! I'll look into it 🙂
Awwwww such a sweet comment! Thanks for tuning again. We really appreciate it 😊! You'd absolutely love the Tatras, and I'd love to be your guide there! It'll happen👌😉💙♥️
LOVE LOVE LOVE your introductions - I had no idea the Tatras were so modest relatively speaking, though not in scenery. Its taken me a couple of weeks but Im finally alone in the house on a Sunday evening, watching this with a cup of warm milk tea! Your finger makes a very effective pointer! I have to say Pato, at @6:32, that reminds me of myself going downhill- its pretty scary tbh, its a narrow ledge yous are walking although the trail itself looks like a modest slope despite the altitude. Youre so generous with your knowledge Pookie, so willing to share and that's a beautiful thing! Cant wait to be there with yous. Watching this is like coming home to you my loves!!! XXXXX
Nice one another great video of your adventure! I must go to the Tatra Mountains soon and it's not even too far away from me. Great video
Thanks! Much appreciated! Yes - you absolutely have to check them out. Are you based in Schwarzwald? If you can, go in September or early to mid June. The summer holidays get busy there. It's much more exciting to be out there without the crowds. All the best!
Hahaha I know that feeling 😆😆😆
silly, but not uncommon, ha! 😂😂😂
😱😄🤗
☺️🤣🤣🤣
Bellissimo video👏🏻 and also very interesting much appreciated by those like you who love walking and hiking, in Slovakia I've only been to Bratislava I'll have to fix it...
Thanks for watching! Yeah, there's so much more to Slovakia than just the capital! The country is practically 90% mountainous! It's beautiful. So is Poland...although Poland is 90% flat, haha!
@@pookie-pato unfortunately I've never been to Poland ... among other things, I have Polish friends who live near my house who keep recommending me to visit it
That's true. This is hiker's paradise!
Well done guys... this is a part of the lido that few tourists know, usually intent on taking pictures with pigeons or drinking aperitifs in Piazza San Marco, excellent excursion👍🏻
hahaha, I know! San Marco is just a bit too much!! 😂 ! We were there a year ago, and though this is just iphone x footage, we really wanted to release it as it shows that one can get away from all the clamour easily. Lido is lovely! Alberoni, too! And we did love Venice, but we were lucky to have been there for quite a few days last year during the Biennale, and we were able to find areas of Venice city away from all the madness of San Marco. Some of the streets and canals on the east side of Venice (e.g.: San Pietro as far as I remember) weren't that busy with crowds, and it was gorgeous there too! Thanks for watching! 😊
@@pookie-pato i totally agree and this goes for all places... sometimes you just need to move very little from the classic tourist attractions to find the real authenticity... the time i found fewer people in san marco was in 2020 during the covid, no tourists... there were gondoliers begging you on their knees to take a tour haha.... you were there for the biennale🤔 are you an artist maybe?
@@WorldTrypChannel yeah, I agree. And yes, Pato (my partner) is a dance artist 🙂. Goog guess. Last year, he was in Venice for a few months, performing at the Biennale. He was featured in the only dance performance of the whole 2022 Biennale 😀.
@@pookie-pato wow I'll look it up on YT... you're lucky to have the partner who with the excuse of his artistic work takes you around the world, I'm a bit envious😕😄, I can't even dance haha
@@WorldTrypChannel haha, an artist's life is not all rosey, so don't worry, you're not missing out, ha! But it's got some perks for sure!
You were told you cant swim in a protected lake but you did. Such disrespectful idiots !
😬😂
🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱
Bro is scared when their is a fence between them lmao
sorry, i have a question... why can't you see the selfie stick in your videos? I can never completely get rid of it🤔
It's the inst360x3 camera. It comes with the 'invisible' stick. I don't really know what the trick here is, to be honest. It must be something do with the software, I think. To my knowledge, it's the only camera on the market with a stick like this!
@@pookie-pato super! i have a Gopro Hero😕😄
nice video, i was in the same places in april... São Miguel is amazing... ciao👋🏻 from Italy🇮🇹
Grazie mille! 🙂🙏🏻 Cannot wait to go back to Italy !!! 🇮🇹 🙂
@@pookie-pato Oh yes! are you coming to Italy?👍🏻 where are you going to go?
@@WorldTrypChannel not sure yet...😉 But we'll be posting all updates. I'm dreaming of the Dolomites. And I'd also like to go to Sardinia. But the list goes on... I loved Lido and Venice (where we went last year)!
@@pookie-pato ah ok, I live halfway between Milan and Venice, on Lake Garda... unfortunately I've never been to Sardinia so I can't give you any advice but I will certainly follow your adventures. Ciao🤗

Thanks, I appreciate it 🙂. Looking forward to checking out your videos!
Absolutely marvelous presentation my friend. This looks and sounds spectacular!
Thanks 🙏! Much appreciated. I'm still a newbie at this, so that's really nice to hear!! ☺️
Im not just saying this, but I genuinely wasn't ready for that to be over! More! As soon as I saw the upload I grabbed a coffee and the baba and we (tried) to settle down and watch and then it was over too soon! How incredible that theres still areas were you can find such solitude. Id love to solo hike someday or maybe you can take your God son when he comes od age! So informative and your delivery is so relaxing, its like youve been doing this years. Dont ever stop! Just beautiful! Scenery wasnt bad either!
Loved the empty cable cars too ❤
Awwwww thank you so so soooo much for checking it out! Especially with little Byson👌🤗!! Yeah...the ending is abrupt (I've lost some footage 😫), but part 2 is coming very soon!😎. I do love being out there alone...but equally I cannot wait to take everyone I love there too 😉☺️💕♥️
Wow, what a challenge. This looks like an amazing and fulfilling outdoor experience! Great scenery and beautiful colors out there. Gorgeous video!
Hey, thanks😊! Looking forward to checking out your hiking videos! I'm always on the lookout for new destinations!
Absolute heaven! The water is unreal in its clarity. Did you know that huge swathes of the Med are dead thanks to Jacque Cousteau releasing an aquarium into the sea? The consequences devastated the marine life, hence no top feeders. Nice to not have to worry about sharks, but I think jellyfish remain an issue. Did you see many critters there?
Wow...I didn't know this... but interestingly, there was a shark in the shallows at one of our fav beaches videoed by someone just a week after we left !!! The video is available somewhere on youtube. Crazy! ...and yeah...jellyfish is quite common, but it all depends on the winds. Definitely not a fan of jellyfish...😬😂
Watch our PART 1 video to see some jellyfish footage☺👌 ruclips.net/video/Qx_qKK7A3us/видео.html
