Welcome to my channel! This is my first foray into the world of Flosstube! In this video I tell a little bit about myself and my crafting journey and show a few of my WIPs.
Hi Liz! I’ve really enjoyed your videos! You’ve done soooo much stitching in your life. I love seeing all of it and the variety of projects that you stitch! Yep, you will have to do a WIP parade sometime. You can do it in two parts to make it easier on yourself, but I would love to see all of your pretties!
Thank you! Yeah, I know, it's inevitable! Some day when I'm feeling a bit less distracted.
Hi there, I just found your channel and went back and watched all your videos. I love all your projects. I’m a multi crafter as well so I appreciate the variety. I hope you are enjoying your busy summer and look forward to your next update.
Thanks so much for watching!
If you had said Royal Holiday was a finish I would have believed you. She's looking great! Enjoyed the progress as well as the Pirates piece. The design on the socks look nice. You don't see many people doing that.
Enjoyed seeing you again. All your crafts are so beautiful! You do a great job. Enjoy your summer, too. I can't wait to see you again.
Thank you!

I finished that Curiosity one this past January. It was one of the few WIPs I kept during my stitching hiatus. So cool to see someone else working on it!
Oh that is cool! Not often you see these old ones anymore.
Such good news about your biopsy! Love watching your videos and seeing your progress. I vote you work on whatever you feel like, whenever you feel like it.
Thank you
I enjoyed your flosstube! I am a Beth Russell fan and I’m working on William Morris panel cushion and the woodpecker. So happy to hear that your biopsy was negative. Take care and I look forward to following you again.
Thank you so much. Both of those are simply gorgeous canvases!
Needlepoint has always been my favorite. I switch back and forth between it and cross stitch. Enjoy them both and enjoyed your video.
Thank you so much for explaining. I will see if I can find something like this in my LNS. Much appreciate the video.
I loved seeing everything you were working on. So many beautiful cross-stitch pieces. You're so close with Royal Holiday . I would keep on working on that one. I'm glad life is going better for you. I can't wait to see you again.
Thank you so much!
What exactly is needlepoint?
Needlepoint is worked on canvas rather than cloth, typically a very open weave canvas but sometimes on other types. It can be worked with what we would call half-cross stitches or more decorative stitches. Generally you just get a painted canvas and stitch over it with the matching color (no grid to show you where the stitches go).
@@stitchinliz thank you!
I pray that everything will be better soon. I'm sorry that you are going through so much. I did enjoy your video. Your peacock is beautiful! And your other cross stitch is pretty, too. Can't wait to see you again.
Thank you!
Glad to hear about the positive update! Hoping that the news will continue to stay positive. Maybe I forgot, but I did not know that you were all working on the Indian Peacock. Congrats on the finish! Did you use the Aida in the kit? I feel like yours has more margin than mine. I am staying completely out of date with DA-SAL. I hope you continue to stay up to date. My vote is for the Mirabilia. I do agree that the green fabric looks better.
Thank you! I don't think I've shown the Indian Peacock before because it was sitting in the "I don't feel like doing this backstitching" pile! I did use everything from the kit and I started in the middle. I love your new fabric for the Deadly Aquarium, it's going to look amazing whenever you feel like working on it. I think the Mira has won, and I love it.
Hi, would you please do a video on how you do needlepoint in general on the Bucilla kits or Dimensions kits. I’ve bought a few of those kits but I’m just wondering if most of it you just do tent stitch. And if it’s a large block of same color you can do the basket weave. I’m hoping you can clear it up for me. Thanks! Love seeing you talking about your stitching.
Hi! You are exactly right! I use tent stitch or basketweave for the entire piece, depending on the size of the area or if I feel I'm running low on the yarn (tent stitch uses slightly less). But I'll see if I can put a video together on that. Thanks for the idea.
Thank you for the video. I love your needle point and your finish. All of you work is fantastic, I would finish the royal holiday so you can enjoy it this Christmas. I finished santa of the Forest for my daughter.
Thank you so much!
I would go for the Mirabilia! She's is totally gorgeous on the green fabric! Great choice of color.
Thank you!
I would pick Royal Holiday since it’s the closest to a finish. I love your fabric choice!
Thanks! I do love that piece.
I love the tree skirt but understand not wanting to work on it this time of year so I will vote Mirabilia
Thanks! I definitely need to get back to that tree skirt. We won't talk about how long it's been a WIP.
I have to vote for the Mirabilia even though I love needlepoint. Beautiful stitching!!
Thank you!
Mirabilia
I vote for the Mirabilia!
Royal Holiday
My vote is Father Christmas for your June pick. Love your Peacock. Happy Stitching.
Thanks for voting!
Royal Holiday as it looks closer to a finish
Good choice! :)
Beautiful projects the peacock is just amazing. Glad your biopsy was clear, so pleased for you
Thank you so much!
Hi Liz, lovely to spend time with you. First time watching your channel, you have some gorgeous projects on the go and also fully completed. The birds of paradise and the blue herons are just stunning! Take care and happy stitching 🌷🌷 from Judy in New Zealand (FT. An Aussie in a Kiwi world)
Hi Judy! Thank you for watching!
I'm also relatively new to flosstube. Just found your channel and watched several of your videos this morning while stitching. 💛 Love all your projects, but especially the French City Scene. Its so elegant!
Thanks for watching! I love that one too.
Wishing you well in this tough period
Thank you!
Phenomenal stitching ❣️❣️ As I live in northwestern Minnesota I have many Great Blue Heron’s sit on my dock & spend much time fishing etc. they are one of my favorites so your piece made my heart go racing…was just stunning ♥️. Was wondering if you have thought about different ways to display your works of art before they are framed so to enjoy? Thanks for sharing beautiful artwork! Happy stitching to you..
Thank you! They are such a beautiful bird. I haven't really delved too far into other methods of finishing pieces yet. Totally open to ideas though.
Hi, can you tell me who makes the birds of Paradise Piece, please
Hi! That one is by Design Works.
@stitchinliz hi, thank you for the fast response. I have searched, but it's not available in the uk, and delivery from the USA is expensive so I will need to enjoy watching your progress.
Happy to see your progress. Seems like you're more than halfway done with the frame for the Deadly Aquarium. Sorry to hear about the inconclusive results. Wishing the best for you, stay strong!
Thank you so much, friend!
Sending you well wishes and positive thoughts. Hope you get some answers soon.
Thank you!
Good luck Liz. Hope the covid fairy doesn’t visit, and you can get on with another biopsy asap. All the best! ❤🥷🪡
Thank you!
Liz! So glad you popped up in my videos! Your WIPs are stunning, as usual. But what a bunch of life things you have had! I so hope you don’t have Covid, but if you do stay home and rest. The project will wait. Now, about your other news. If it’s from your mammogram leading to biopsies- I’ve had 2 of those, and while not pleasant, the odds are very much on your side. If it is from the nether regions, so to speak, make them give you anesthetic before they come near you to biopsy anything again. I’m very upset about how women’s pan is often discounted, and anything in there hurts like a mFer! I am guessing that either way they will come back in 6 mos or a year and recheck. Ask for a CT scan (or MRI- can’t remember but think it’s CT scan ). TRY not to worry. Inconclusive may be your friend(ask how many labs looked at it. Did they send it out?). Think about that you are probably fine. You are young and that is always on your side. No, I’m not a doctor but I did work in immunology (bloodbank) and general lab for years. At any rate, call (6304410885) me or email (Teresaboyer5618@gmail.com)if you ever need to talk- I’ll be there. Try not to worry. Let the pleasant rhythm of cross stitching soothe your worries away!
Thank you so much for all your info and kindness. I am doing my best not to worry.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful projects. I get frustrated with backstitching like that too. I have seen some people chose to use a couching method to get a smoother line. Sending healing thoughts and prayers.
Couching is a smart idea. Might need to try that. Thank you!
Love your stitching. My prayers are with you during this difficult time in your life. Stay Strong & think positive. Happy Stitching.
Thank you!
Liz, I just want to say how I admire your strength in this clearly, very challenging time for you. I hope that you are able to get some answers soon. I hope your stitching can bring you some peace in the coming days. I wish you all the best.
Thank you so much! Busy hands are good for the soul.
Always happy to see you post a new video. All your wips are gorgeous. Because of you I got out my needlepoint. I haven't touched it in years and have already finished a piece. So I'm cross stitching in the morning and needlepointing in the evening. Please let us know the results of the next test. You're in my thoughts 🤞
Yay! I'm so glad to hear that you got your needlepoint out! And thank you!
Those birds are amazing!!
The blue herons are stunning, I love them. Beautiful works.
Beautiful stitching! I have a pile, too, and someday, I'll frame them all. I just stumbled on your channel and will subscribe now. Im curious about the afghan behind you on the chair. Have you shown it in your video before? If not, can you please? Im going to go watch your other videos now.
Thanks for subscribing! I haven't shown that afghan, it's actually so large that it would be hard to see, but I can definitely show part of it at least.
Wow, you have made very beautiful projects. Such a great job. I love the herons and the peacock. I don't do French knots anymore, I use a matching color bead. Can't wait to see more.
Thank you!
I'm glad to watch you again. The progress was great! I love the mermaid. It will be done soon. I hope you will consider doing a wip parade. I would love to see everything. See you soon.
Thank you! I'm still considering. It's just so much!
Enjoyed this video. All your Thomas Kinkades are so pretty. I loved the fabric from 123 stitch. I just got in a big order from them, too. Curiosity is so beautiful. I have always back stitched as I go along. When you get to the end, you are done. I can't wait for you to start the two tapestries. That fabric is so lovely. Hope to see you soon.
Thanks! I'm using spot 13 in WIPGO for my next new start and those tapestries are going to be my start.
It's great to see you again. I love to see your progress on your cross stitching . Your tapestries are so pretty. I wish I could find the princess and the unicorn, so lovely. And the fabric, too. I'll be looking for you again.
They are definitely available, just search for "the lady and the unicorn cross stitch"
Great Blue Heron is stunning, that would be my first one to frame! Lots of beautiful pieces that I haven't seen elsewhere.
I enjoyed your video so much. You have a lot of very beautiful cross stitch you are working on. I love the ones you got in Paris. I've always wanted to go there. Can't wait to see you again.
Thank you so much!
Your projects are gorgeous. I did a thomas Kincade and done seed beads instead of French knots.
That's also a great way to do it!
You have some beautiful finishes there! It's interesting to me seeing older patterns sometimes as i haven't been stitching for too long/fell off of it for years after doing it a lot in my childhood. I need to look at what needlepoint is and how it works, i hear about it sometimes and I'm getting curious :D
Needlepoint at its most basic is just half cross stitches! Jump on in, it's fun.
@@stitchinliz aaah the one where you basically stitch with the thicker yarn? I think i did that as a child, i remember it was being fun. might try it again eventually :)
I've done it with all different kinds of threads, but yes, it can be thicker. @@sensneedleworks
