I like living alone. It seems when I am at my kids house to visit, I feel unwanted sometimes. That hurts more than being alone at home. I used to like every Sunday for dinner after church, but I can tell they don't like me as much as they used to. I either hug or kiss too much...or not enough. Or I forget I already told them something; or I forgot what I told them I would do, and it doesn't get done. I am in good shape and have cats at home and good food to eat....and I am on Facebook with friends as much as possible, and I go to church with them and I have friends there at Bible Study etc..... but for some reason, I just feel like I am alone and need a best friend like my husband was to me. I need to feel like a real person. I was a stay at home mom, and then I went back to college and became a Child Care provider for a few years...and then I was a Director for a preschool. I know how to care. And I know how to take care of people. I just don't know how to be the person on the other side. I am lonely and feel unwanted so much of the time. I know they love me, but they have families of their own and need to put them first. Anyway, being a senior living by myself is working...but I feel lonely at times.

A lot of people target seniors that live alone. I’ve had neighbors and family like that. They start by telling you all their money problems.Then they get mad when you don’t help them. I get lonely but I can live without all the grifters out there. We are targets.

It becomes a full blown arguement every time I need to take my mother for a test or doctor visit. She has bad knee arthritis and tires easily. The visits are exhausting for her. And doctors refuse to schedule all the tests and follow up on the same day. I explain everything to her several times if needed. If it was up to her we wouldn't go to any dr visits at all. Yet she keeps telling me all the time about all of her symptoms but wont follow treatment protocols.

MY PROBLEM WITH ALEXA ECHO DOT SPEAKERS IS THAT IT WILL NOT SEND MY CORRECT "CALLER ID" INFORMATION, BUT RATHER, MY ALEXA ECHO DOT SENDS SOME STRANGE NUMBER FROM ANOTHER STATE THAT THE PERSON I'M CALLING DOES NOT RECOGNIZE; THEREFORE, THE PERSON I'M CALLING DENIES THE CALL & WILL NOT ANSWER! I NEED ALEXA ECHO DOT TO SEND MY CORRECT "CALLER ID".

I want to try these so bad. I have been homebound for 5 years. I want to try before we buy.

I live alone in a 1 bdrm trailer home in a very small town. I don't have any friends to speak of. None of my kids or family has any time for me. I never hear from any of them. I'm 66 with numerous health issues. I live alone with my dog. My biggest fear these days is that I will die alone in my little house, and my dog won't understand what's going on. There will be nobody to let her out, or give her food and water. Nobody to turn on the ac, in the summer it is brutally hot in my home! I never hear from anybody, nobody ever calls. It could be months before anybody finds us... A simple phone call once in awhile would be nice.

It's gonna be great for kids because if they can make an A.I. assistant refined enough kids will have a personal tutor whenever they want, one that has endless patience and never gets angry. It can also show empathy, which is a very important aspect. It shouldn't replace regular teachers though because human interactions are still very important but it will complement normal schooling. I wish it had come along when I was a kid.
