btw, I have one of those little green carts, had it for 30 years, had to weld the rear bracket , and just had to order a second tire for it. good cart. I only paid $39.00 back then
@@kenluther9948 Yes it is a handy little cart. The tires are shot on mine too
When was it converted to electric start?
@@rudycarlson8245 About 10 years back when the previous owner bought it. I bought this in May this year
@@lohiacres4651 any more videos on this D4?
@@rudycarlson8245 Yes, after the water lines are back, the first run of the dozer on its own power. The hydraulic pump shares the same belt of water pump. I have little bit of work to put those together
looks beautiful i own a 1949 mccormick deering w4 myself aswell as a 1943 international i-4. i want to put that hydraulic and plow set up on my i4 so i can plow snow with it.

My uncle had one of those, but without the turbo. Awesome tractor.
All 1066's had turbos, your uncle must have had a 966,they didn't have the turbo.
Probably stuck from water getting in
Yes. It is unknown that how many years she has been exposed to the elements
Nice old machine i had a 1967 930 case
You need to leave the subtitle/graphics on the screen longer.. Cheers 👍👍
Thanks. I have noticed it after the video is uploaded. Will keep a watch on this next time
@@lohiacres4651 Thanks 👍👍
Runs great good to see it getting saved great buy thanks for sharing
Fuel pump bolt down on our tractor has a plate over. Gravity feed works just fine.
I see why you couldn’t resist. Nice seeing the parts new and old presented the way you did. Good job.
luv them old girls
Nice find and great clean up on those parts. What did you use?
Regular parts cleaner from Princess Auto. Can’t remember the brand
what does the large lever do that is to the right of the seat. IH had a W9R made for rice, a hand clutch was installed so the driver could stand up and clutch the tractor
That lever is for locking the brakes when parked. This one has foot clutch
What a gorgeous tractor, I love this, it's like a Farmall on steroids. 🤣
New sub here. I'm an International/Farmall guy myself.
We had a WD9 to pull a 5 bottom plow. For “fun” once, I hooked it up to a 22’ 480 disc and it pulled it fine, but slowly. Best to turn the steering wheel while rolling 😬
WOW Nice. W-9 DAD Years ago, Awesome!!! Thank you. (Naaman ,Indiana)
Those are not remnants of home made hydraulics. Those are remnants of the factory hydraulics. The tank and valve are the correct ones. All that's missing is the pump and hoses. That's a fuel pump, not a diaphragm fuel shut off. Originally they didn't have a sediment bowl on the tank, just at the fuel pump. Never run in firth gear off road.
That makes sense. I was confused the diaphragm pump as fuel shut off. Yes, the tank sediment bowl was a later addition. I wasn’t sure about the factory hydraulics. Happened to see a Farmall MD today and it has exactly the same tank, valves and has the missing hydraulic pump Thanks Ty for your valuable information
yeah what he said : Never run in firth gear off road
Good job cleaning the carb
Nice to see her running!!
We had International harvester company set up shop in Australia in 1912 making farm implements later tractors but also opposition company's like fordson, Massey Harris, nuffield, Massey Ferguson , Chamberlain tractors Australia the company was eventually bought out by John Deere
Loved the case 932 i had
The one you see is case 931. She smokes a bit, but otherwise a good runner
@@lohiacres4651 nice. I did sleeves pistons and heads on mine. 2000 hrs ago 2500 dollars
@@wilmamcdermott3065 I know, it’s not cheap to work on a tractor
@@lohiacres4651 less expensive than johndeer . just did the engine on my old dozer D7c17a heads sleeves and pistons. 7000. I need it for fire fighting here in alberta after our communist leader set us on fire
@@wilmamcdermott3065I hear you. Coincidentally I have a Cat D7E 17A. She needs some tinkering
Big enough to do most things on the farm back in its day
I ran one of those thumb wreckers pulling a breaking plow was rough on the fingers at 8 years old. My dads was a WD9 super
My Grand Dad had a W-9 when I was a small boy, 65 years ago. In the spring 3 men would take shifts plowing with it 24/7.
The guy I bought this from has almost the same story. Yes she is a beast
That is not a home made hydraulic handle.
You are right. Those looks be all aftermarket items installed after the fact. Edit: Some forums says they are IH factory offered add ons. Not sure
They look like newer hydraulic parts off a 600/650
what did the fluids look like, engine, transmission, rear end, radiator, gas tank? looks like it could be a good one.
Fluids are all looking good except the engine oil little murky. The gas tank sediment bowl had varnished gas, so needed some cleaning before the start
👍😍
Good day from Ontario. Interesting. Were those new pistons aluminum? So with pistons topped? does that increase compression ratio? compared to old ones.? Thanks
Pistons could be Aluminum Alloy, not sure.Sourced from Steiner tractor parts The raised pistons increases the compression ratio for sure. I think there’s a video in Dan & Rachel Gingell’s channel, testing the increased compression ratio and increased horsepower on a similar farmall tractor
What loader is on that tractor?
Lovely!
