Using the Electric Eel model N sectional drum 24min video
You did a great job! Very professional!!
Stupid dud
I was told you weaken the housing with the heat if you do it like that instead of installing threaded connectors first
I have never seen one fail this was I don’t like using threaded bodies just another leak point
Brother you helped me with replacing a moen cartridge because I did not realize they came in the open position and you need to twist it to the off position, I was almost ready to cut out the old brass valve body. Thank you!!
What is your tik tok page? You might have a fake account going on there
@@crazyplumber87 Georgetheplumber
Average of 1 per week??? 🤔 Yet he's not smart enough to shut the water off and take out the faucet stems to make cutting easier 😂 amateur
@@BarryFredette-m5c water is the first thing I do and removing the stems why they are not in the way I do 1 a week and install takes me under a hour so yes I’m a amateur
🤨
@@irietropicals4255 it’s a ideal place
Can you review the machine. Better or worse than the rigid?
I would love to know what you think about the two different brands as well?
was that a soft poop stoppage
How much was a job like that cost?
Came here to ask the same thing!
Hey George, another fantastic video
Thank you
Awesome work
Thank you
What is your setup? BTW, that black crap sucks to clean up! It just smears.
I use the 5/16 cyclone and black crap cleans good with windex
@@GeorgeThePlumber I see you used a 3/8" flexshaft a few years back. Do you still use that one? And thank you for the info on Windex. I'll try it out.
only when I need major cleaning but mainly 5/16
@@GeorgeThePlumber Good info. Thank you

soft poop
That should have been installed from the back side all you did was help the mold to grow
Some times that’s not possible
Did you say that these Moen valves come with the stops in the closed position or open, by default?
cringe like a mf lmao
how you claim to be a plumber but fuck up on an inside cut on 1 1/2 pipe lmao,
What gloves do you wear? Recently my normal nitrile gloves seem to get holes in them way too easily.
was there no need for backing support for the valve?
Is the plaster of paris strong? I have a big gap
Whats the model for the Posi-Temp Pressure Valve? Im thinking about giving this a shot. Thanks!
I would have to find a way to put a muffler on that unit and make it quiet.
What cutter do you use for 4" sewers that transition to 6"?
❤❤
Does your method change when you have that really thick mortar to deal with? My home is from the 60's and I want to attempt this but it's like inch and a half thick mortar with the chicken wire behind it
Cutting the wall is almost the same but I sometimes use a full size grinder to get a deeper cut I use these as well not to have to re pipe the valve www.amazon.com/Posi-Temp-Handle-Extension-Temperature-Limit/dp/B000VYI82C
Where do you get those sockets?
toolceptions.com/products/plugtwista
Very cool! I'm curious what blades you use for your dreel setup if you come across 6" main drains. Thank you!
@@ShyMplsMale I use a 4” root saw like this one www.equipsupply.com/electric-eel-3-root-saw-for-4-diameter-lines-mtc-hdd4s
@GeorgeThePlumber - thank you. Last question - what size inner core are your sectional cables? I see Eel cables have 1/2", 5/8", and 11/16". I'll be using that Super Hawg I saw in your video. Thanks again my man!
@@ShyMplsMaleI will ask my rep after
@@RobertDeJesus2029 Thank you.
Someone needs a softener. Damn!
They definitely do but house on slab and place to put one
So when you open the bottom drain, why didn't a bunch of water pop out? Is it because you turn off the water flow into the tank and release the pressure first?
I was able to drain took a long time
Kept destroying the elements
My plumber wants 800$ to do this, does that seem right?
@@brucepoole8552 actually a good price I charge more
Hello, can you help me replacing 1 handle for 2 handles moen posi-temp?!
Where do you live
Hey my man! Great setup! Do you use electric eel's 4x6" 3 blade expanding cutters for mains that transition from 4 to 6" or don't they transition up to 6" out where you are? Thanks for any help you can offer.
Need a heat shield
There’s a total rebuild kit for this Price Pfister valve that will last 10-15 years. New everything including handles. $38.00. Takes about 45 mins to install.
I do offer that as well with the ceramic stems But converting is a safer option with the balance spool
@@GeorgeThePlumber yea, I've changed out over 2 hundred old valves to Moen Pressure Balance. I just don't like those huge chrome plates.
@@Averageskillthe right way would be open and retile but hard sell for customers
@@GeorgeThePlumber Hand me a set of plans and I’ll plumb that custom home from from the ground up, by myself. I ran tract housing jobs from 1979 to 2008 while plumbing customs on the weekends. Mostly major remodel since. Too expensive to build new custom homes here in Southern California … much more profit in remodeling existing homes.
@@AverageskillI can say I have never done track work have my share of rough work in the 90s but found I like service work
the difference is the connections and usually the piping is supported right below and above
That plate behind the handle, can you tell me how wide it is left to right? I forget what that's called but I have a two handle Moen set up, very old, and I hope this kit will cover the hole in the wall.
I'd prefer a sharkbite to a mip/fip. What connection is this? Behind a wall?
Dishwasher supply line
@GeorgeThePlumber and was the cause they didn't use ptfe?
@@User-y9t7uhas a gasket and just was not tight
That's what happens when you try to save a few dollars. Don't have important work like plumbing and electrical done by a handyman.😢
My tub spout versus the new chateau kit seems pretty close, think i could cut the cutouts a little high and move the valve up a bit? Im assuming i can redo the spout connection and add some space between the two
I have cut the hole up height instead of center I have the bottom of the template to line up with the holes
@GeorgeThePlumber gotcha makes sense, thank you
Good job. Nice video! Your leak test though wasn’t 100%, unless you put plugs on both the tub spout and shower pipe.
@@Bbbbbbbbbbb-f1w in this video I kinda jumped the gun and did end up taking the plate off and testing
precision
@@wigum12 came out good thanks
do those really work?🤔 they 20yr warranty but i have never heard of them until recently
@@wigum12 I initially installed one in my home and used for about 6 months before selling It’s doesn’t make the water soft it just changes the way it sticks to plumbing and with a black bathroom I’m happy
Is it connected to an engine?
Yes it hooked up to me jetter
@GeorgeThePlumber what engine is it?
@ Honda GX 690
Hi george. Where can i buy that case for thr cable?

Do you use a permanent marker on the tile and you cut it out? How much does this job cost and what area?
Yes permanent market and range from 1100 to 1800 New Jersey
@@GeorgeThePlumber thank you sir
You deserve more money
Definitely
If it is really tight, I would turn the angle stop down. Gives you more room.
When I cut it back it clears the handle
Nice work! Lots of valuable information...Thanks a bunch!!!
Good to learn
