What did you do with the certification sticker? If these helmets are for playing in, they are not valid for use in a football game without the sticker. They MUST be painted and certified by a NAERA member. They also are required to have a warning sticker.
@@TheMountainMan The helmets used in professional football, do have warning labels on them. In the NFL, the warning label decals are usually placed on the right rear side.

@@djunravel I used ATX automotive paint. I got it in single stage which means they add the clear and paint together in the can and you just have to add a hardener to it

Sticker can be placed inside if it’s useable. You don’t see college teams or pros with warning labels on their helmets lol

I used spray can primer and Automotive paint from an automotive paint shop in my area

Do you use a gloss to finish it ? I’m spray painting helmets tomorrow for the first time got primer, paint ,gold flake gloss and regular gloss
On these helmets I used single stage paint so the paint comes mixed with clear in and I just add a wet look hardener

@@juicefamtv6191 let it dry for a few days so the paint can settle in. But without a hardener it still may chip
