2.7 version compared to 5.2 is definitely more truculent and jerky at low revs, very low speeds, eg entering a roundabout slowly in 1st gear, and applying some throttle pressure. 4th to 3rd, blipping the throttle as you do, with Capristo valves open, makes you feel like a driving god.

Pre 90’s cars will still be able to be driven 30 years from now. Especially cars from the 60 and 70’s. Todays cars will not because they will be unrepairable. Both because of unavailability of electronic components and lack of ability for the average owner to fix them. I think this is something that escapes both these guys.

I wonder where u get the weight number. Carwow and top gear said its 2.13 ton while Mercedes says sub 2 ton

I've owned a manual 1998 F355 GTS since 2002. The accelerator pedal issue you experienced is not normal... sounds like the cable is defective.

I really wonder if there was something wrong with the car. An 89 Turbo TA isn't floaty with bad handling and brakes. I mean, it might be compared to a brand new Ferrari, but compared to a normal car they are pretty good if it's properly maintained.

The 55 is the sweet spot of the GT-series. No unnecessary banging, silky smooth, enough power and "low" fuel consumption. I would always prefer the 55 to the 63.

Nice job - considering the AMG GT55 for my next DD - had to laugh when I realized the guys reviewing it here were local to my area. Will take a trip over to MB Danbury - haven't been to their new location yet but bought my wife's GLE from them a few years ago.

The throttle cable absolutely degrades. It was one of the first things I fixed in mine and it totally changed the feel of the car. She's now smooth as butter. I remember that push through feeling I had the first few times I drove it. Would definitely advise that the owner get that done asap. It's a game changer.

You’re talking too fast. Slow your rate of speech down. And please only one person should speak at a time. Basic effective communication skills.

Two things:1) hats off to a couple of kids with less than 800 subscribers being able to talk dealers into letting them drive/launch/ream-out Cars that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. 2) The regulators need to stop the car companies from cheaping-out and using an iPad to access all the controls. It’s a distraction and it will cause distractions that lead to accidents. Practically no one is asking for this nor wants it. People want physical buttons for commonly used controls that we can reach and use without looking or with a quick glance.

I love this car, but every time I sit in one it feels massive. I have test driven a regular V twice and it does not really shrink around you like I had hoped, it still feels massive. Bigger than my old Chevy (Holden) SS
