I was a teenager in the 80’s and I remember Mickey back then a little. His name was big, and then I recall at one point wondering what happened to him. When I saw him again after boxing I was shocked to see how he looked, and didn’t know why he would leave acting to box. His story is a movie in itself and I admire how he has come full circle and knows exactly who he is, demons and all. He looks like he’s at peace with himself, and that’s all anyone can hope for.

Traumatic, violent, molestation, shame, belittling, and humilation were the norm in my journey. Adoption was not the answer. First time time I saw Mickey. I was drawn to his energy. Absolutely love this man, an inspiration. Many parallels, the "block," took many Jackie Browns❤

Having complex PTSD from childhood I perfectly understand being absolutely uncompromising. We become our own worst enemy but retain the dignity of being ourselves no matter what, but overall, bad pasts just make life extremely hard.
