So I could see Gideon not working completely for you and not being like a 5 star because there is a lot of weirdness in the series (esp book 2) but I honestly cant see you not at least liking the book. Like I personally think you'll give Gideon at least 4 stars but I wouldn't be shocked by a 3 but I would actually be very shocked if you hated it. Also I gave Gideon a 4 star the first time I read it and it got even better on a re-read and became a fav of all time. Also WHAT DO YOU MEAN? something is happening?

omg when I got to the reveal I was like ok I was half right LOL, I'm so sorry about your watching this during breakfast though. And yes! Even Tor only left Ebora because of how isolated they were and how lonely he felt watching his family fall apart in different ways. The slowly watching your people completely die out theme is so sad but also interesting, I totally rec you play Horizon Zero Dawn btw its very different but its got some similarities as you learn what happened to the people before the old end of the world SPOILERS: I am still so sad about Eri.

I'm already feeling better thank god! I actually LOVED the ending but I felt like I couldn't talk about it at all with all the foreshadowing that happens in the book I feel like if you say one thing wrong it gives it away but I think the ending was perfect for the book and also my fav part of it. The foreshadowing is another reason it reminded me of a greek tragedy, it really is objectively a fantastic book and the craft is outstanding I just wish I felt more or a personal attachment. I wanna be a Leigh Bardugo girl so bad TT I keep hoping the next one will be the one.

Yeah I don't wanna read the synopses too closely for book three in case it has spoilers but they usually have a blurb like the epic conclusion or something so I don't think book three will be the last one. I took an elective in college that was Arthurian literature I'm def not like an expert or anything but the disney version of the sword in the stone has influenced my life to this day LOL and I love Arthurian retellings but a lot of them are .... kinda basic this one felt so fresh. SPOILERS: Ok so when they talked about that one guy from Arthurs circle who went to Africa I thought that we were about to find out that that man brought back a black woman to help Arthur with her magic and maybe she was like Gweneviere or something and thats why Bree trusted Nick so fast and why she has this different magic thats not quite what other root users use. That also would have fit in with the book thematically with the commentary as well another forgotten black woman but BOY was I shocked!

Thankfully neither of my dogs care about fireworks, Echo has anxiety but its not triggered by that thank god but that is one of the reasons I don't like them I feel bad for all the poor animals. I so want to watch those movies but I'm afraid that even if I'm not scared watching them that it will still give nightmares I have such vivid dreams. No pressure at all but if you wanted to buddy read the trilogy next year I'd be down for a re-read
