I can attest i draw intense pleasure from getting each detail and acquiring depth and like perspective on something be it a song or a movie or anything really You start and stick on to a general idea of course thats the basis and equally important it's a stepping stone It what lies at core = at heart❤ Thats why i cant ever stress it enough the importance of studio and live versions theres a whole world and perhaps worlds within worlds to be explored and what they have in common is a constant trait and thats the element of surprise discover and coat your senses in awe, deep rooted in conscience It's a quest not a race Theres no prize nothing to be gained at the expense of one another except for a priceless sense of wonder and it's so precious Fueled by eagerness although without heedlessness maybe restlessness and then youre sort of at ease with yourself proud of where youre at despite being mostly a solitary endeavor something that looks like a lonely expanse

I heard Ian sing this to me in San Francisco (with Mick Ronson!) when I was 18, and it seemed Iike words of comfort and encouragement from one generation to the next. It was really moving to a very young man. I am impressed that in 2013 he could still hit those highest notes in the Outro! I saw him in the 20-teens in Agoura Hills and he was still rocking hard with the Rant band. Rock on Mr Hunter!

Is there a version with the lyrics on it? Shame the pan pot broke on the mixer, forcing them to do that thing with three pre-panned mics instead.

The bass player shouldn't have been dancing around, because it distracted from the brothers. He didn't understand the act and his role on stage, and it's not to be "rockin' out". The later bassist figured that out perfectly.
