The wait times to summit etc…And to cap it all( pun intended) they don’t even clean up after their expeditions…the bodies( understandable in some instances) but why not clear the garbage? Such a shame.

Why are the ropes white - of all colours? Presumably it would make more sense to have a coloured rope for optimal visibility, should visibility become impaired due to conditions?

It is just a mountain... what are you all willing to bet your lives on just to get a certificate that's just going to collect dust?

I got mild altitude sickness climbing a 14er in Colorado a few decades ago. Still made it to the top, but had nausea and a little short of breath. Most likely because we started the trip by immediately climbing instead of spending a day getting used to the altitude. When I consider Everest is more than twice as high as that, no thanks.

When you see more people around the summit of Everest than in your local supermarket. Longer lines too (in the death zone mind you). And people still think doing this is special. Pretty soon you're gonna stand in line the moment you step out of the tent for your summit push.
