Picked up a 2024 at $1250. It's a once in a lifetime purchase. About 25-30 bottles were sent to MD and the largest Michters accounts got them my buddy at my local store being one.

Really hard to spend on these elite bottles blind. You said there were 1000 bottles released for 2024 but all the 2024 neck tags Ive seen say 587 ; were there two batches?

I’ve bought 4 so far and only 1 was a bottle I’ve never had before. Other 3 were either replacements or back ups of bottles I already have and like a lot.

I have only bought two bottles this year. Being way more selective.

Since Christmas,in my area I've been able to buy GTS,Four Roses LE and EHT Barrelproof all for at or close to retail. I think there is going to be a serious market correction in whiskey that's honestly overdue. The other thing I believe we will see very soon is the collapse of the NDPs that are now holding highly overpriced barrels.

I finally tasted it and it is definitely unique. It's all cinnamon to me. I agree with Durell It's not something that you'll visit on a regular basis but I think it's a great bottle to have in your bar. Great review! Cheers 🥃

I got a Fourteener and it was my NYE fresh crack. I like it, even at it's low proof. It's an easy and flovorful sipper.

Even if it’s just ECBP, it’s worth $40 more just to not have that ugly Elijah Craig bottle on my shelf.

I have a 13 yr BiB William Heavenhill from I believe 2020. It was stored at a friend's for about 3+ years, and it remains unopened. After this review, I'm now interested in checking it out. Great review of a couple of amazing bottles. Cheers 🥃

I lucked out when I went to Heaven Hill and was able to pick up 2 of the 15 year (Dragged my wife with me in the early am for an extra set of hands 😁) and must say that is some delicious bourbon. Still have one locked in the bourbon vault for future consumption. Great video! Cheers🥃

I have this bottle and it is baking cinnamon and toffee. Their maple finish bourbon bottle is great also.

I love that you both enjoyed this finished and completely unique whiskey. I own multiple backups of this bottle. 😉 Watershed bourbon finished in Nocino barrels, batch 3, 5 years, 61.1%: Final: 89.8. First: 9.17 N: 9.5 T: 9 F: 9. fresh cinnamon roll on nose. Cinnamon on taste. Sweet and spicy with very long finish. Second round: 8.67 N: 9 T: 8.5 F: 8.5 cinnamon pudding on nose. Fresh cut wood on nose. Christmas on nose. Tobacco on nose. Dry Wood on taste. Slightly Tannic wood on sweet and spicy finish. Third: 91 N: 91 T: 91 F: 91. rich and sweet Christmas tree pine syrup on nose. Very rich pine syrup and Christmas tree on taste. Sweet Christmas tree and pine syrup on finish.

Heaven Hill 18 serious. No way.

Wasn’t a fan of Green River bourbon it wasn’t terrible but wasn’t great either. Still not sure I’m willing to get the full proof to see if it gets better. I’m not really worried about replacing bottles I’ll never see or try on a regular basis. It’s easier to walk in a store get the bottles I can get all the time without waiting in a line or overpaying. Sure these are excellent bottles but for me not worth hunting.

It's not near as bad as you make it seem. I know 2019 gts wasn't highly regarded, but HH18 blew it out of the water. I've had the HH17 as well. I enjoy them both.

No need to find alternatives. This stuff is getting flooded to market by buffalo trace. Its starting to sit around my areas... just waiting on store owners to get their pricing right.
