Any new laws in the work? 2024
I am located in Stanislaus County . I have an existing JR Adu unpermitted . How do I get it permitted ? Essentially turned front living room into studio with new added front door , bathroom , kitchenette What is the process ? Where do I start ?
I have a big house 6 bedroom 4 baths. I putca kitchen in a bedroom. A bad actor turned be in. Have to remove stove and sink. All done professionally.Rent out two bedrooms two baths. Back part of house with private entrance own yard etc very beautiful. City code enforcement want me to remove the kitchen. No bathroom was added. Just a kitchen.
I have a 20,000 sf lot in the City of Los Angeles. Can I subdivide the lot into 3 and then do a SB9 split on each, to build the maximum of 12 units?
No, SB9 lot splits cannot be applied to adjacent properties developed by the same owner. Maybe you could use SB9 on the two end parcels however since they are not technically ‘adjacent’. You should consider consulting an attorney though

What about an area with a 27 archer lot that I decline to split and the zoning says lots must be minimum of 20 acres. Could it be split in half

What's a adu?
Hey Alexander! An ADU (accessory dwelling unit) is an additional/accessory unit that can be added to a single-family lot. Lots of people build them to earn additional rental income or house family members. If zoning is single family then yes - technically but would need an Architect that knows what they are doing to process through the red tape
This is what I love to see. ADU is the future and solution to more housing in California!
I watched this webinar and it seems that the recording configuration did not include the slides the presenter was referencing. As a regular host I'm keenly aware of how difficult working with Zoom can be. I'm bummed because I know there was a great deal of work that went into this and the sponsors weren't feature. I would request that it is rerecorded.
