Using a Go Pro 11 attached to a 3-axis gimbal, I was able to multi-task by shooting and driving while strolling at a nearby trail. I have also adjusted the suspension. Lowered but more travel and body roll is much better and more scaled as seen when the body moves and sways.

Changed the servo of the FF-03RR from SPT 4412LV to PowerHD R12. I also fitted the XV-01RS with the same servo. Now faster speed and response.

Installed my XV-01 with Power HD R12 servo. It's as fast as the Power HD 12HV installed in my FF-03 Pro-R. Very happy with it.

You need to select a memory bank first to which to store the sample and turn the knob to "write" for recording the sample. Then for playback or stuttering the recorded sample, switch the knob to "single" or "repeat" for looping.

Hey Angelo, did you cut the chasis underneath the suspension arms to increase your ground clearance for rally?
Yes. I had to cut the droop stopper to allow more height.

The ff03 seems to understeer a lot on dust. Do you comfirm?
Yes. It needs early throttle release on corners and less braking. But it's a good rally car to be honest.
The RS what's different about the kit?

I didn't know that there was an RS version of this chassis is it the top of line and it has the long shocks on it?
Nope Tamiya didn't release the XV-01 in RS version. It's just a version I made up because of the mods and set up I did on this kit which eventually became my "RS (Rally Sport)" personal version. I edited the description of the parts list above in case anyone would want as reference.
I had an ff01 I wish they were re-release all the FF series.
I still have my FF-01 that I bought back in 1996. It's now a shelf queen. I'm afraid to run it and get it damaged. Parts are very hard to find now.
I'm sure that some of the newer FF chassis will still fit a lot of its parts and I pretty much pretty positive that you can replace the ball diff really easy with newer ones.

i also have this mixer, badged up as a Soundcraftsman. I think they bought out Numark at some point in the early 1990s and rebadged the remaining stock, but not 100% sure.
You're right. The company was bought by MTX Soundcraftmen and rebranded the Numark mixers to MTX. The DM1775 was re-modelled to MX400 while the DM1975 was to MX500.
Soundcraftsmen was bought out by MTX in 1991 Then continued products under the MTX Soundcraftsmen moniker until the mid 90's
