We are looking for amateur filmmakers to submit their short films, no longer than 10 minutes for the RATMA international film festival.
The Keighley Picture House then becomes the venue for the evening's award ceremony where the glitz of the Oscars meets the pride of Cannes in a star-studded event.

i lived in keighley for a few months 1963 /64 the picture house used to be called the Asoldo the one round the corner was the Ritz
My aunt had a hair dressing salon in there in the 70s.

Just add animation in wich the taxi turns around the globe... that helps to the idea that your Festival is international
Great idea but the taxi broke down unfortunately
when the cinema re opened i went to the picture house on a date, we left the cinema for a drink and on returning we walked past and the doors were open and the chain wasnt locked, we reported it to the nearby police station where they sent a wpc she asked me if i would accompany her round the empty cinema, there was no foul play probs just some staff each thought the other would be locking up, the movie we saw was ghostbusters lol

Donation to charity makes this a better Festival
Thank you Alberto. We are hoping that it becomes the up and coming filmmakers festival and that all the universities encourage their students to enter and that winning a RATMA award will be great for their resumes.

my great granddad own a few cinemas in the 20s i think. And he loaned money to harry ramsdins. (yep i cannot spell sorry)

It is and later we will be doing a tour of the cinema where we hold the awards night. The cinema was built in 1934 so worth a look.
