I'm currently making the transition from agency to private practice. One of the benefits of my agency job is the ability to provide robust support through the case management you discussed in the video (coordinating with school counselors, psychiatry, and other professionals on their care team). If you have private pay clients, do you bill for this service? How do you provide that kind of support outside of insurance reimbursements?

This was very helpful! I have been in private pay group practice for quite some time. I joined Headway several months back and have not felt comfortable with that decision! I have decided not to take any new clients. I'm interested in learning more about Mentayo. I believe you said, who helps clients submit to their insurance providers?

I blocked all 4 of my Therapists because they ain't gonna keep hacking my Instagram password reading my messages so nope I'm not gonna unblock them that is why I don't like ppl reading my messages. Then they got mad at me for blocking them and IDC.

How about "no shows" where they never reply to msgs/calls?

What were the group practice links you mentioned - your friends who have courses?

It appears that PsychologyToday has limited the usage of this hack! HOWEVER, certain words do work but you might have to get creative! Don't just try things like “trauma” or try thinking of synonyms and experiment!

I wanted to comment on your videos before. I am a student from Europe and we do master's degrees here. But we can't see clients while we are doing the master's degree.

Had to use creative abbreviations to get past the “name police.”

Maybe you were just so good they didnt need a therapist anymore.

I don’t personally love the vlog style for this type of info- I like you talking to the camera interview style with maybe a few helpful things that come on the screen. But that’s just me - and I support creativity if it feels good for you! Either way, I’ll still watch☺️

Good tips! As a current pre-licensed clinician, I also recommend that one works a FT 9-5 job even if it's unrelated to counseling. That way you can make money and not have to worry about living expenses while you accrue licensure hours. Most 9-5 jobs also don't require you to work late evenings or weekends too so that works out best for seeing clients at a private practice.
