How long did it take for them to trust you?
@death__ray Only a couple minutes on that day, and about ten in the other video on my channel, but it was well worth the wait. It's the location that they trust. So I take down the feeder and stand in its place.
The Roufus hummingbirds are smaller than the Ruby Throated, but their entire job is to chase everyone else away from feeders. If Mike Tyson had wings. 😂
I got a couple feeders around my house & they drink 🍹 a lot but I want to hand feed like that , that’s awesome 🎉

I wonder what is in the bottle cap. Do you think it's water? Maybe some sort of vitamin water? It looks like water. I don't think it can chew food. I don't think it has a mouth that opens. Or possibly it's like an elephant? But these things used to be all over my yard. Like 6 or 7 of them at a time, all different colors. Some days I'd be scared to go into my backyard because I don't want one to accidentally fly into my eyeball

Because hummingbirds have such a high metabolism rate, time seems to slow down for them like it does when you are young, and the years go by faster as you get older.

I love all of my hummingbirds, they are so Precious to me, the more the merrier. They love the nectar that I make them, 4 parts water and 1 cup of sugar, boil for 5 minutes, let it cool, put it in a jar and put it in the frig until you need to fill the feeder. Happy Hummers .

Besides being really cute, they are the most high performance warm blooded animal in existence per body weight. No wonder they need to consume 12 times their body weight daily in nectar

I just started feeding hummingbirds I would like to try that with mine I live in a condo I put up a hummingbird feeder had it up for two weeks nothing came bye at all went to homedepot and got planter boxes and put petunias in the I got pink petunias and as soon as I did that a got a hummingbird to come bye I put two pirches up on my porch I made them out of wood dowels and they love it so I’m happy they finally come now my hummingbird Floyd comes buy and sits on it every day I named my hummingbird Floyd

I have a hummingbird that has been following me for the last 2 years i don’t have any feeders because we have a lot flowers but the hummingbird has fallowed me places like 3 miles away in a car
They bring so much joy to me when they show up at my feeders!
