A firewalls main purpose is to be permit or deny traffic, be preventive. It also can be configured to send alerts and notifications to admins about potential malicious traffic. This is a detective function. An IDS is purely detective. So a firewall and IDS can both be detective. But only a firewall can be preventative. So I chose detective because that is something BOTH devices have the capability to do.

There are two Coax Cable standards that can be used for internet, satellite and TV installations that the Network Plus Exam wants you to know about. RG6 and RG11. Also, would I be able to the exam in person somewhere else or is the exam done online. If I get a voucher on the Comptia side and fail can I then use my 2 other vouchers without a waiting period. Armyignited is not allowing me to login at this time. I am really trying to go this route. The presentation is awesome just think your missing where you will be taking the exam and how to retake the exam incase one does fail.
