Making a chefs knife
Просмотров 3072 года назад
This is my first attempt at filming my knife-making process. It will evolve over time, but you have to start somewhere. This is really just to hive my friends, family, and customers an idea of what I do. #kitchentools #knife #knifemaking #mwblades

I took a Northern Tool 8 ton log splitter, made a stand, beefed up the frame, aded some braces, made sure dies, and started forging. This is my first run with it. More to come.

Time with the Demon hunter Solo build, as well as farming build. With Unity, and without. Gems you should use, skills to use. Great build.
12 1 Arena

First time ever making it to 12 wins in arena. I didn't think that the deck would go this far honestly, but it worked great.
Goofy Priest - Ranked - 2 Stolen Ysera's

This is a fun Deck that I made just to mess around, and has actually become one of my best decks. I just wanted to make a deck that would mess with people, and want to make them rage quit. It is cool to have a 4 mana card that can summon a 4-12 or 8-8 legendary on turn 3 with a coin. Turns out the deck is pretty strong if you learn to play it right. Below are the cards in the deck 10 MINIONS No...
Goofy Priest Deck one shot Mage

I built a goof around Priest deck. It has every card that allows you to steal from the other guys deck, bring random minions into play, and then the normal priest cards that annoy people. thought this clip was kind of funny....the Mage prob didn't....but I did. :)

I have every Divine Shield card I have in this deck, along with 2 Blood Knights. I put this video on because I thought it was really funny. Made guy quit on turn 2. LOL
What is the power of the pump and engine?

I like it looks good the way you set it all up. Until I can afford to build a bigger one. I’ve been looking at these logs litters in yours is one of the nicest ones I’ve seen so far. But I see you doing it. With both hands on the material so I know you have to have some kind of foot pedal going to the switch and the. The lever
Could you show an update? On the hands-free pedal that you used or if they sold a kit that you found?
No foot pedal. Just hand operated. I was holding the piece with my right hand and pulling the lever with my right. It would be hard to do a foot pedal with this machine because the handle is about chest level. It still works well
This is the best version of a log splitter made into a forging press I have seen. It solves the anvil and the hammer parts parts flex/moving. I am going to steal this idea. Thanks for sharing. Is this a verical/horizontal log splitter
Yes, it is from Northern Tool. It’s the only 8 ton that could go both ways, and at the time I bought it, it was only $550
I have my press, making the dies for it now. Are you using a foot pedal to operate the ram? if so, I would love to know what you are using for it.
No, not using a foot pedal. Just hand opperated
Excellent video. I am getiing on of these for this same purpose. Question: What size is your base square tube?
sorry, I found the answer below!!
No problem. Thanks for watching
@@mwblades6553 just ordered it!! Woo hoo!!!
Thanks so much, I’ve got one coming in a few days. I really like your ideas for adapting it to a forge press👍
Thank you!
Well done thanks for sharing
Love it 😍 I want one!
Never saw you move this fast at work. Lol nice job.
LOL that's 8x the speed
Great video! I chose this splitter because it looked like a better starting platform. Is there a way I could contact you to get some more detailed info on do's and don't? Anything you would have done differently going at it a second time? Thanks!
My page is MWBlades on IG or Facebook
The biggest thing you are going to want to do is make sure that the top of machine is reinforced. As the ram comes down and creates pressure is bends backwards flexing the frame. Make sure that you do your best to reinforce it so it can't flex backwards.
I'm thinking of buying this one to turn it into a forge press does it really work or should I get one with more ton's ?????
Yes it works fine. If you have the money, I would go with more tons though. I would have waited and spent $900 on a 20 ton. But it does work
Can you tell me about your Hydrulic pump and power pack motor
Couldn't really tell you about it. Its just a modified log splitter. 8-ton splitter from Northern Tool. Whatever they have for specs on their website is what it is.
Great video - I ordered the same splitter. It just arrived but have not yet set it up.... question - I don’t see you operating the hydraulic lever in the video. Did you have a remote or foot petal of screen? If so - any info or suggestions? It would be nice to operate by foot.... thanks!
No, just using the handle. Its just off screen. It works well.
👍 got it - thanks
Thanks for the video. I know it's been almost a year but how is it working? I have been thinking of purchasing the same model.
Its working great. I love it. It will handle more than you think. Just make sure to work hot
What hydraulic oil are you using for this? I finally purchased this same one and can't find none of the suggested oils from the manual.
I just went to the closest auto parts store and got what they had. Any hydraulic oil i could find
Thanks for you video. I got the same log splitter & plan to set it up like yours. Can you tell me the dimensions of the long piece of square tubing that you have at the bottom?
I found that at the scrap yard. Its a piece of 1/4"x6" x6" square tube wit 3/8" olate welded as caps
Thanks, what’s the length of this piece? Did you weld it to the base of the splitter? Thanks again
@@edniazi8821 its 12" long. Yes, i welded it to the base.
Any updates???
Its still going. It works great
I made a press out of the same splitter. Just got it up and running today. You havent figure out any linkage to control by foot yet have you? Im gonna tackle that next
No, the control is pretty stiff. Haven't tried setting anything up with the foot
Well done on the conversion, check out my 20 ton powerhorse vid
Was this electric vertical splitter from northern? I have been trying to order one online, but it says its backordered.
Northern Tool
Right, I meant Northern Tool. How long ago did u purchase it? I've been watching it for the about the last 2 months and it's been on backorder.
@@bqsak I got mine in June. It's not a very popular model. I had to order it and have it shipped to a store.
I called the northern tool hot line, It looked like it said they were on back order, but they were in stock. Got one delivered to a store near me in a week for free pick up.
Do you have any videos of you doing billets?
Not yet. I have only done one so far. I will make sure to get some up.
Thanks for the vid. How is it working so far? How are you controlling it? Thx
It's working great. It has surprised me. You have to make sure the you have a good orange heat, but it moves metal very well.
nice combos!!!!
Missed lethal multiple times with commanding shout (double) pyromancer. You need some more practice apparently.
